Works like a dream, few days before you posted this I bought pi5 and some servos for a project of mine and had hard time dealing with the jitter (couldnt find "normal" looking solution) and then this video popped up 🥳, bought the pca.. and it works. Thank you so much for the easy to follow video.

Incredible video! Is there any reason related to the circuitry that you chose to build the machine with the dimensions that it has? Would the machine be just fine if it was say four times the size and do you have any tips for a larger build and what is required to handle a higher power spindle or can a higher power spindle simply be interchanged without any other circuitry changes?

I built the frame that size for a specific application. For the video I removed the specific mechanism and focused on the CNC GRBL basics. Had I just made it larger, it would have worked just fine. I would take the spindle output of the CNC Shield and feed it to a motor controller appropriately sized for what you are trying to power up (basically use the CNC as the digital signal to control the spindle's motor driver). Obviously power up the spindle motor controller based on its own set of requirements. Additionally, note that the linear bearings, shafts, etc, need to be sized appropriately, meaning all those have a max recommended load, so don't exceed those.

You're incredible! Perfect explanation! Perfect, perfect! That was EXACTLY ALL that I needed. I'm working on a project to control an external device the exact same way you did and I was in doubt about the transistor model (I bought the BC548 which has the same electrical characteristcs) and I was struggling about how to proper deal with the base and that stuff (I'm a newbie). I can't thank you enough!! Regards.

Good video. But they messed up the software somehow. I do not use the official cameras, but it should make very little difference. None of my IMX219 modules get detected... And here I thought that Raspberry Pi has superior software support...

Good work and I like the web page notes. One pointer ; When narrating the videos please dont keep saying "Now you can go ahead and....." at one point you say "Now you can go ahead and not do anything" .. it becomes an annoying vocal tick.

Oh WOW. I don't get out much, so excuse my ignorance lol, but I have never seen a picture frame like this. This is a unique idea that a lot of people would love! You can pull-down all Arduino pins programmatically, there is no need for the external 20k resistor for the pushbutton.

Is there a reason why you used the depracated edgetpu-examples module instead of the PyCoral module? If it was because you ran into issues with it on the Bookworm OS, then that would be good info to share... o/w I can try on my end and report back, if anyone is interested.

Are you using an official Raspberry Pi camera? Did you make sure to connect the ribbon cable on the correct orientation on both the Raspberry Pi and the Camera itself? Is the camera sensor properly connected? Is the camera cable free of damage? If none of these are the issue, what Raspberry Pi model are you using and what operating system?

@@diyengineers I am using correct and official raspberry Pi components. Also about the connection part. I placed the one part with the gold pins in line with the camera and the gold pins on the second end of the cable facing HDMI ports. I don't know whether there is some hardware issue or not. Please let me know how to check that!!

@@mohammedkaradia2970 Hey. I'm having the same issue. I'm not using the official camera, but I am using the right cables and stuff. None of my IMX219 modules work with the Pi 5. I get the same error as you do. I bet it's software...

Have you tried any other approaches to getting Python 3.9 on the bookworm image? For example, I wonder if it is possible to use pyenv or virtualenv to create the container as a virtual environment as opposed to using docker.

Thank you for the tutorial, I just have one issue, why I need each time I restart the raspberry to launch the container run one example, get the runtime error and then repeat the same process and it's working ! is there any possibility to make it work from first run otherwise this will be a severe problem in a real world application. Each time are you rebuilding a new container or opening the already built container? You shouldn't have this issue when opening/entering the existing container.

Hi, thanks for explanation. I have a question, I'm using v1.1 grbl and I did the same changes as you in config.h, however, UGS still sees Z axis and when I try to home, Z axis is moving while it shouldn't. Do you have any idea why is it like that?

Absolutely! You could also edit the portion of code that triggers the display of videos and instead of videos you could simply add a loop to show even more pictures with the same person.
