We do it differently. But everyone has their own recipes of making bannock. We use baking powder and we don't add oil in our mixture if we are frying it. We only add oil in the mixture when baking. What they mean by don't choke your bannock. We say don't smother your bannock meaning don't over flour your dough. You don't want the dough dry.

Can you use this recipe for oven bannock.
@ranchehrlosociety Жыл бұрын
Yes you can! By the way it’s baking powder, not baking soda. Place the pieces on a greased or floured pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 400F or 425F degrees. Enjoy!

In the spirit of gathering, we invite anyone who used to live at the Ranch or accessed services over the years to stop by the gazebo at the Pilot Butte campus at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 25th for a tour of our main campus and to share a lunch. Please let us know you are coming by emailing [email protected] so we have enough food prepared. We are also hosting our fifth annual powwow on the same day starting at 9 a.m. which you are more than welcome to attend.
