These “builders,” will put their name on anything. My company did two houses with those siding and in both cases the mfr had to pay to remove it and we installed Hardie instead. The wood grain melts out of this stuff andit has a horrible thermal expansion coefficient

How does the CraneBoard join at the seams, do you have an installation video?
@cottagekeeper2 күн бұрын
Vinyl lap siding - the lengths should be longer so there are not so many seams. Really dislike it for that reason only, my eye is drawn straight to the ends, it is really terrible.

Do you put an aluminum flashing over the top of the cap stone or do you just flash tape the nailing fin?
@marcuscicero95879 күн бұрын
would definitely not be bangin on that stuff to clean the edges. i would be checkin them panel meticulously before install. trimming with a right angle grinder w/ diamond blade

Hi, I had Versetta Stone put on as a skirting for my park model. I purchased the Northern Ash color. The cartons came, the top was open. It rained and left water drips, in white, on the stone. I also have dust from the saw, on the stone. Seems like you know what you’re doing. Just wondering if you can tell me how to clean this off?

That table looks like a pain in the ass. My boss has the old school heavy ones. Plastic all the way across the table. No big gaps for the siding to get stuck on when you put pieces in. Do you like this one?
@tonydibratto5333Ай бұрын
Does this work for vertical siding as well? I assume so.

Is the j trim used here different than universal j trims? It looks narrower to fit the thinner profile of B&Bs

Why don't you cut all of them to size according to the window package, and then just take 1 spare along to the jobsite in case you f*ck one up ?

I'm wondering if I can just glue it on my outdoor fireplace instead of using screws (which would be a headache to dill all those holes in the concrete block) I'd use Loctite so it would hold no problem. I'd just have to cut off the nail flange on top.

Dipping that stone in a bucket of water first will reduce the dust. This dust not only affects the lungs of the installers but also the people who work around them. Construction workers are at an increased risk of developing silicosis, a long-term lung disease caused by inhaling crystalline silica (RCS) dust. RCS is found in mortar, concrete, and other materials, and exposure to high concentrations can cause permanent lung scarring, or pulmonary fibrosis.
