Try engaging the throttle lock while on choke when starting cold and adjust the carb. When the low jet is adjusted to the optimal position the chain should automatically stop spinning when you let off the throttle. Nice saw! I have the orange colored version

Get any old 009 n put the cylinder n piston from an 012 onto it. Dremel out the rubbish in the exhaust n remove 1 of the base gaskets, fit a 12 inch bar and you have quote an angry but powerful wee saw. I can cut 16 inch logs with my one n its a heap of fun to run as well
