In the year we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of WW II - and keeping in mind what is currently happening in the world - we need to remember all those who fought so hard for our freedoms. Thank you for your service, you are heroes. Everlasting respect from Poland.

On the 12th of December a month ago , it was the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge here in Luxembourg, our Grand Duke of Luxembourg, the King of Belgium , the US Ambassador, representative of the United States presidential delegation, head of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA and other Ambassadors dignitaries came for the event. I went there thinking that it's open for the public but I was denied , the Policeman escorted me , even I asked to stay outside the the cemetery , still I was refused to stay there, so I went down the road , left the car on the side of the road, and I waved to the Veterans (5 of them) the SUV with US flag was honking back and I saw one the veterans waved back to me. I shed a tear I wanted so much to shake hands with them and to say thank you for my (our) freedom in Luxembourg- Europe. Dear Americans don't think that we forgot these soldiers and the USA and all the fallen soldiers. Every 29 th December I go to to the cemetery and I say loud thank you General Patton thank you soldiers we'll never forget you. We love you , DENIS :)

The sheer numbers is incredibly sobering, and this is without those who lay in CWGC cemeteries.

Even though I'm a veteran, and it's not encouraged, I would really appreciate the chance to visit the dishonored dead in Section E of Oise-Aisne. Not to honor their disgrace, but to acknowledge the full spectrum of those who served. To recognize that the tragedy of human existence is often to confront and deal forcefully with the darker aspects of our humanity, and tragically our inhumanity to our fellow man in the chaos of global war.

This is for all of the brave soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen, guardians, and coasties who proudly defend Old Glory for our unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness! Even going as far as to sacrificing their lives for our country.

I have seen the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC. I have never felt so humbled in my life as I did when I saw my own face reflected among all those names of those who had sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our country! It is a feeling that you never forget. I honor all those who have fallen and all who serve are great country! Rest easy soldier, you have fought the good fight!

It is sounds and images like these that help me realize just how much we owe to those who made the supreme sacrifice... that "full measure of devotion". Millions gave their lives to protect what we have here today. I thank every military vet for his or her service.
