When this system works as designed, it's a beautiful thing indeed.

What about if we have single bin?

Hello, this system requires 2 bins per item (SKU) because once you empty the front bin, that empty bin is the call out signal to reorder and restock that item. If you're using a single bin, that empty bin means stock out. With 2-bin, you pull inventory from the back bin while waiting for the replenishment of the front bin to arrive. It's a very simple system to manage that does not require par counting or tracking of remaining inventory in order to know which items to order. It also helps you rotate older inventory forward by putting replenishment stock in back older stock. The 2-bin system takes a bit more time and resources to set-up initially, but it's easier to manage and is more reliable in avoiding stock-outs over time.

Very good inventory control system. Easy to use, easy to understand. The best part is that this system does not necessarily depend upon software or computers. It can be a real problem when the reordering system depends upon computers, which may be off line for maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
