Halverson. I know this Baptist church is In Detroit, Michigan. I have never been to Detroit. I have never been to the state of Michigan. I live in the state of Minnesota. I have always lived n the state of Minnesota for all of my life. The state of Minnesota is, in area, the 12th largest state in the United States Of America. Awesome conversation. My take is that an emphasis is being made that although it was Zechariah's home, it was Mary's word that represented the Holy Spirit. It emphasizes that although women did not have ownership of property, none-the-less, they were used by God to inspire and spread the Holy word.

“Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.” 1 Peter 3:8-9 NIV. This one works for me when I am in a situation similar to what you have described. Hope this helps.
