chord names depend on the string tuning . if strings are tuned GDG then the chords would be C, B7 and G6 (or an inverted Em)

I have one in my garage that l was going to build... eventually! You may have to use two different size shells for the fret markers. From the twelfth fret on, things may get a little tight, particularly when the frets have gone in. Best of luck with the build Del 🤞🎸

Del you can slide the top off the ammo can to make it easy to work inside. Just look at the hinge. Instead of big sound holes... maybe a perferation design behind the strings. Ideas are numerous. I'm looking forward to playing it brother.

The thing on the side keeps the ammo box from falling through the holder on an armored vehicle, without it you would need a bottom of the holder but with these you could vary the size of boxes.

Double up those strings! So that you have 3 courses, just like a 3 string CBG, but each course is made up of 2 strings paired together, like a mandolin or 12 string guitar!

antlion?? you mean those little guys that make the cone shaped divots in the sand??
@RiversDustSafaris
@RiversDustSafaris Күн бұрын
@@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar Exactly! Lacewing and Antlions are of the same Order (Neuroptera) and have a similar body structure as dragonflies and damselflies from the Order Odenata, the main difference being that lacewings wings are folded back and the larva are terrestrial where as dragonfly larva are aquatic. A lot of insects navigate by using the brightest celestial body in the night sky (star/moon) trying to follow a straight line, but this gets a bit messed when they encounter a light on earth, the fixed flying angel inevitably spiral the flight path into the light, hence all the bugs in your workshop.

Hey Folks, There are 4 factors that govern guitar machine heads. After 3 factors are set, then the fourth factor is dictated - but only after 3 factors are set. If only 1 or 2 factors have been implicitly or explicitly indicated, then the remaining factors cannot be determined. The factors can be described in different ways (and some descriptions make more sense in specific situations). One way to describe the 4 factors are: type of tuner (right or left), mounting side of the headstock (right or left when viewed from the front), side of the peg that the string comes off), and which way you turn the tuner knob to tighten the string (the guitar way or the righty-tighty way). Since there are 16 different combinations of the 4 factors, people can and do do it in all possible ways! Viva la vida!

if you use a rubber bridge, but make it a really wide bridge (like as wide as a sitar bridge but made out of rubber instead of a hard materiel) it'll give a palm muted effect with having to actually palm mute! You can use one of those 'pink pearl' erasers for this.

Hey Dale, Why do you remove top face of the neck inside the cigar box below the shelf to where the pickup is mounted? For an electric guitar, could the entire top face of the neck be in contact with the bottom of the cigar box face plate when both the bridge and pickup are going to be mounted on the top face of the cigar box? Would it sound okay as an electric? If it has some small sound holes, would it sound okay acoustically? How much back angle did you put into it?
