Great actor . I saw him in Pasadena doing a one man play in the 80s. Amazing.

I see now why I have never heard of this….i don’t know what you call this disaster. A movie? Or really shitty made for tv? lol. I hope to never see it again. The prisoners would have been begging for electrocution. So would the witnesses and guards.

In the 1940's and into the early 1950's , both Mississippi and Louisiana had electric chairs which were moved between different courthouses as needed. Mississippi had an executioner named Jimmy Thompson, a tattooed ex-con. The chairs were powered by a diesel generator.

Filmed at the then recently vacated Kilby Prison in Montgomery, Alabama. Film makers were given access on the condition that they demolish the walls of the institution with explosions at the end of the film. Alas, the pyrotechnics used were not powerful enough to do the job. The state had to come in a few years later and level the walls into the ground.

Bud Court’s vocal performance in this really moved me. You really feel it is a machine developing feelings more and more and learning how to deal with them as it’s gets overwhelmed with how powerful and consuming and mercurial they can be. He was the perfect choice for the part and had me welling up. Solid tribute video of him in this and the movie definitely deserves more love and acclaim.

Upon first discovering this movie back in the 1980's I fell madly in love w/it 100% in love. Such a great film such a great casting of this film as well in general. An from then forward have always lived anything I've ever seen of both Bud C or Ruth G ! An of course the biggest crush on Bud (first off & the most) I mean talk about an adorable looking guy !!! Like seriously OMG adorable !! An frigging Ruth too quite crush worthy just as much adorable ! An the both of them just have something in their voice (tone ? Pattern which they speak ? IDK TBH something) that just grabs me & my attention. They both happen to do that to me. I was just viewing old (1980's) interviews w/Ruth on them an she is so wild an so very cool ! An if ya liked her disposition& character in this roll an are not too familiar w/her individually . Well check her out because if ya loved this character she played in this film then you will surely love the character that was Mrs Ruth in her real life I can assure you of that ! Talk about a beautiful positive attitude that is this beautiful fabulous woman. What is most mind blowing an almost difficulty to wrap myself around. Is her talking about (in a interview filmed in mid 1980's) in it she was 85 years old an WoW what a firecracker beyond youthful is this woman's spirit an just so full of life an happy an proud SMH it's as if her joy is contagious. She in such way is incredibly inspiring. You really don't see her as being as olds she was in these 1980's interviews till she is talking about acting jobs she worked back in 1915. , , , 😱 what ??!! WoW ! She was born October 30th 1896 !!!😮WoW ! Anyways I love to have found your channel that you have created ! Any big fan of the most beautiful Mr. Bud Cort is someone who's definitely AOK in my book ! Indeed & for sure ! !
