Now that you’ve had your La Marzocco for over a year, you must have some experience with descaling the Mini/Micra. How long does it take to descale the entire machine? Could you make a video showing the descaling process? I know descaling is a bit of a hassle, and that’s probably why no one talks about it - BUT it’s a reality we just have to deal with...
@WildValleyRanch18 күн бұрын
You're right! Actually not a bad idea to do a 1.5year recap on the machine. It still works as good as new and I only clean it every few months. I have found that running a closed porta for 5-10s in it after every shot really keeps it cleaner for longer. Epic machine that has taught me a lot, including the appreciate of using fresh beans; surprising how much the shots vary (all other variables locked) as the beans age.

That eureka grinder capable enough to pair with an expensive machine like that? I hear the grinder is more important than the machine
@WildValleyRanch18 күн бұрын
True, I could have went more expensive, but I love the grind:weight vs time ratio. So much more convenient and accurate, and it's good enough for me; I'm still a noob after all. The machine is expensive, but that's because it's commercial quality for your home. If I had one of the machines that allowed for all the pre infusion etc variables to be dialled in I might be more concerned about the grinder, but at this point I'm the weakest link, then the grinder, then the machine. It pulls excellent shots as far as I need at this time.

I purchased the M12, as the M18 is rather expensive in the UK. I find the M12 excellent for pruning, and it will go some pretty big stuff! Fantastic little tool for £240!

What is tricky here? Other than dead branches which can hurt you
@WildValleyRanch6 ай бұрын
The tree has been dead a long time and had a significant crack on its side. I'm very inexperienced with tree felling but I know they can split unexpectedly when being cut when in this condition. The terrain around the tree was sloped, the trunk was leaning slightly in one direction whereas the two huge limbs doubled back the opposite way. Those limbs were too thick for my pole saw to cut through and too high for me to get with my bigger saw. They put a lot of weight in the opposite way the tree naturally leaned, and where I wanted it to fall, and I was trying to manipulate that slightly further to get it to drop downhill without hitting the adjacent (very alive) tree. Probably easy for a pro, but I am not one.

don't ever use a chainsaw one handed
@Han_Joelo6 ай бұрын
I thought you were talking about the M18 hatchet which is meant to be one handed, and then at the end of the video I realize he pulls out a gas Stihl and uses it one handed. LOL Definitely a no no, if that thing were to kick back at all his one hand is not stopping it.
@humorss6 ай бұрын
he's got fine cutting technique though, should be ok.
@WildValleyRanch6 ай бұрын
The purpose of top handle saws is one handed use, though of course it is still very dangerous and you have to be careful. I generally keep a second hand on it anyways, but in this case I kept my body well outside of its path in case it kicked back.

Café Liégeois in Quebec. I shopped around across Canada and this was the most competitive shop and gave me a great deal on a demo machine as I was upgrading everything at once. Nice owners, young guys, they were fantastic up front until they got my money, then there were some delays and poorer communication, but in the end I got everything and it's all been working great.

Hey you do you and it's all your bills are paid who cares what you get. You don't have to justify anything to anybody. Another upside of you buying the mini is the resale value. You can reach the commercial market and the domestic Market a much wider audience when it comes time.
