I didn't get this album the year it came out it was probably about 1996 I walked into record and tape traders a little record store I used to like to go to where you could turn stuff in and get store credit so anyways I found a cassette copy of this on loud out records which I knew nothing about at the time found out later it was a Polish label a legitimate one at that lol great album and I still have it to this day got the vinyl so i just keep the tape for a keepsake

Me personally, while many meshuggah fans enjoy their later djenty stuff, I prefer the older thrashy stuff. The grooves on cc are absolutely unreal!

Decapitated is great, my favorite album is still Winds Of Creation, but Nihility is good as well.

Phenomenal, killer album. This is the one that got me into Nile in the first place. Blew my mind. Amazing band, their new album is incredible as well. Fantastic body of work over their career.

I bought reek when it came out and carcass instantly became one of my favorite bands. It was so brutal and the lyrics were so sick.

The funny part is that the drummer (who wrote the songs) was vegan and the lyrics and cover were meant to highlight the similarities between butchering animals and butchering humans. But that was lost on most people and it spawned the gore grind genre.

Good video here Jake mate. I picked up this back in 93/94 but never really got into them. However I’ve been playing it over the last few days and it’s excellent. I saw them live around the same time in London at the old marquee club supporting napalm death I think? Looking good mate you’ve dropped some weight and I’ve taken it off you Hahahaha 😛🤘🏻

Point Blank is one of my all time favorite albums. It's a perfect blend of thrash, industrial, and hardcore. I also love how Max Cavalera and Alex Newport share vocals duties. I was finally able to get a new copy of this album as a reissue CD featuring the bonus tracks "While You Sleep I Destroy Your World" and "Zero Tolerance", as well as bonus live tracks from the Dynamo Festival '95.

Lucky you are to have work with M. Riddick !!!!!!!!!! And obviously, Sepultura wrote some of best records I've ever heard. I'm close to my 50, and even if I'm a huge fan of a lot of bands (Dissection, Deicide, Immolation, Incantation, early M. Angel and tons of underground stuff), I'm convinced they're a main part ofthe extreme's metal history.

Yeah, Mark Riddick did a fantastic job on the logo and banner, a legend In his own right! I love a lot more underground Metal and a lot the bands you mentioned. Sepultura know how to write excellent music even If you don't like all of it they've cemented themselves in Metal!

Nice dude, Meshuggah is one of my favorite bands. I have the 2001 reissues of those albums, but they're both really great records. Contradictions Collapse is a great debut and even though it's more thrash inspired, it still has plenty of complexity that Meshuggah is known for. DEI is just godly all around.
