How nice to see the garden all looking bountiful & green in opposition to UK all dying back & yesterday my 2 girlfriends chopped down a tree that has been dying of fungus so I can now relax if high winds start no more worrying if it should blow down In most of the UK we have been under a jet stream of still grey very low cloud keeping temperatures mild but depressingly dull everywhere Look forward to seeing next plum tree video Take care ❤

Yay! I was able to watch the whole video! Everything looks so lush and beautiful!! Your rose *is* SO pretty. I can almost smell it. I think Grogu must like the scent, too, LOL! Oh, you’re so right, WEEDS!!! 😡 What’s the purpose of them anyway?!? 😅. Gardening would be so much better if weeds would just grow somewhere else. 😒 Everything is looking great, though. I look forward to seeing everything flourish as we head into winter.

As you are prepping for spring I’m tidying for Autumn cleared out bits from my plastic greenhouse pulled up some of the geraniums with last of the dying blooms & put winter pansies in couple of my planters today has been 29deg at the high spot of the day gentle breeze bear in mind summer in Norfolk ( East Anglia )south eastern side of UK bit that sticks out into the North Sea didn’t start till mid July we had grey low clouds until then Today I have had a relax on the swing seat knitting on my lap but dropped off dozing in the warmth under the canopy Cut out a pair of summer trousers for next year probably by the time I’ve sewn them together a style arc pattern ( your recommendation ) thank you I’m hoping to cast on the Bassett Hat got to learn Italian cast on never done it before we shall see 👍

Love chickens, I have four girls, too. One I have had for at least 6 years, called Wilma. I got three rescue chickens recently called Kate, Gayna, and Nancy

Carla, new subscriber from the West Coast North Island. I enjoyed the little wander through your garden. The salvia will survive a serious haircut. Your photography would benefit from moving your camera slower, its a little dizzying to watch. Your soil looks pretty healthy, and lush.

Your garden in winter is SO DIFFERENT than mine. 😂. You mentioned frost, how often do you get frost? If I remember you have said previously that it only snows at higher elevations, so I guess I’m just wondering how cold is *your* cold? I look forward to seeing your new beauties grow…and Evan’s mystery plant too! 😉

Seems strange for us in UK to see you have citrus 🍊 trees in fruit in winter wouldn’t stand a chance to fruit in a uk summer🤣😂 Have good month see you July 💕

So far 15TH June we have had very little sun & warmth here in Norfolk UK lots of rain chilly grey windy days more like March / April the dreaded jet stream bringing unseasonably cold wet weather gardens are green but flowers struggling to bloom & leggy because not lot of light with grey clouds 💨💦💧😤frustrating

If our flowers and veggies grew as well as the stinkin weeds, we’d have so much extra time on our hands!! 😅 ❤ 🪴

Your fence is beautiful!! My goal for this year is to actually plant my lavender in the ground to see if I can get it to come back. I usually just keep it in pots on the deck so it’s close to me. ☺️ Love and pets to that big boy, Digger!!

How come I missed this ? Dahlias look very pretty a plant that doesn’t thrive with me but yours are liking the soil & conditions A plant I like is Lupins & I can’t grow them either have to say my Huchera thrive in pots long old trough with 3 colours come back each spring & give vibrant colour of lime purple bronze 👍

I’ll get mine planted before too long…our last frost threat is either end of April or first week of May, depending on which source you listen to. Our flowering trees are gorgeous right now…but in a couple days they’ll make a HUGE mess. 😒

Lovely seeing all of your blooms!! Are the tall pink and white beauties dahlias? They’re gorgeous!!!! My daffodils have bloomed, my tulips have lots of green leaves, but won’t bloom for a while, and my day lilies have started showing up, too! I’m anxious for flowers…but we ‘can’t’ put anything in the ground or in pots (safely) until the first week of May. 😒

Carla your garden looking pretty enjoy till autumn My garden is into spring Norfolk is about 6 weeks early in flowering due to frost free winter but my it’s been very wet for the driest part of UK normally & we have North Sea winds brr🥶 blowing down off Scandinavia & Siberia but NO SNOW OR FROST 👍 good jet stream protection I’ve been gettingk odd shrubs to make my front easier maintenance it’s a south / south west facing plot I dug up pathetic grass & covered in bark clippings last summer & now is the time to fill with shrubs & few perennials that take full sun soil is Sandy & I don’t want to water. My back garden is the small space I love I have pots raised beds swing seat , rose arbour, patio table chairs as my oldest lad says plenty of sitting & little digging 🤣😂 cheeky B ( knitting 🧶 as & when ) roll on warm temperatures enough to sit out See you next time ❤

hi Carla,i missed sharing my morning with you today 🥲but happy to see you Digger and the girls this arvo,you have a terrific assortment of veggies and flowers,i saw your lupine in full bloom on one of the other channel days,it’s beautiful.Iam extremely jealous of that archgola …never heard that name before it gives you a liovely big extra room.I have mulched for 23 years here to no real improvement,we have very large Elm trees around us,Norfolk pine and some other type of pines the Black cockatoos love,i call our ground dirt not soil but i keep trying battling the birds scratching out stuff and endless bugs that’s gardening isn’t it,bit like knitting really some successes 🥳some failures 🤬🇦🇺👍xxxK

Hello Carla,iam a subscriber on both your channels and i love your podcasts.I don’t make many comments on any podcast but i think yours is i must do😂you totally inspire me in everything,you are bright,smiling and always positive.What a great transformation you have done with your home and the beautiful outdoor living area.I love Digger and the chickens ,i also enjoy on your other channel your cooking as well as your op shopping as iam an avid op shopper.Iam 72 yrs so a lot older than yourself but still have many many things in common,i don’t feel that old,except after a days gardening.I live in the Central Goldfields of Victoria Australia…Bendigo where i battle with the heat and crappy shale dirt from the gold diggings as i live in the CBD over our largest gold mine.The Central Deborah it runs under our old miners cottage house.Iam commenting because those little orchards from your Grans are what i have and i know them as Spider Orchards.don’t know the Botanical name.You have the most beautiful smile and personality and Happy Birthday to come.I have been crafting since teenage years and love knitting,spinning,weaving,crochet…embroidery and quilting no longer get a look in as retirement is more busy than going to work 😝i did love reading but that also doesn’t fit into my day,and at night iam too tired.This has been too long a comment,just want you to know Iam here and even though i never comment on either channel i think you are terrific.🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

The house is looking really nice, love that deck & archgola (never heard of one of those before). I would love to sit out in the rain under it and knit ❤ Our garden hasn't been that productive this year, I guess because we've had a cool summer & spring. Still enough for some nice salads though. 😊
