Any less pricey, router, table options, or just the plate insert, that works just as well with the Delta?

I bought a used RA1181 so I can try this on my Delta!! I’ll let you know how it turns out. Either way, thanks for posting this, seems extremely thorough.

You can use white vinegar for Weeds. I do that all the time. I got a little red funnel and open the jug of vinegar and just hold the funnel over the top and it controls the vinegar in a nice little stream. Round up is really poisonous so I wanted to tell you there is an effective alternative.

Obviously you are doing very well. I liked very much the way you teach. Anyway, I also have the Rigid Table Saw similar to King, Bosch Router same as you have and the Router Table which fits in perfect in the cavity of Table Saw. Now after five years I am in process to change my Router Table using Baltic Burch and purchased Jessem Lift, since the Bosch Lift made me crazy with its stupid Allen Key. It was no accuracy and no simplicity to move the Router up and down with that Aleen Key?!?! Three years passed from your video. Possibly you came to the decision making as I. I cannot understand the German Engineering/Bosch designed such stupid lift?!

Very cool. I have that same router table but it never dawned on me to do what you did. I love KZbin for a platform for people to share ideas. What an amazing world we live in.

Great work! After the router table is mounted, does the saw seem heavier on that side? I'm wondering if adding a few legs below the router table would help.

I like it definitely looks better than harbor freight tool box. And wood helps with rusting in high humidity areas.

14:00 Unless RoundUp is sponsoring your video, you and your viewers may opt to use 30% vinegar mixed with some salt instead. It's organic and 100% better for the environment. Use once or twice every season.

Awesome build! I'm currently following your example, building exactly as described. I like that you've separated the video into two parts, for those who want to do the same dust collection as you, or try their own. It was a bit hard to flip back and forth, though, as I was building the dust collection box before initial install. While I would've preferred the video to be fully linear (Build dust box before installing into table), I can understand why you did it that way. Thanks a lot for the excellent idea!

How much gravel did you order (tons) out of curiosity?
@pasztoradam19886 ай бұрын
So by packing it down, do you feel as you walking, or driving on it, that the rocks kinda moving around under your feet or car tyres, or does it stay sort of stable? I'm curious because I asked around, planning to do the same thing, lots of folks said, because of the size of the rocks, there will be a bit of movement always, it won't be as tightly packed like with base coarse gravel. It turned out awesome btw, thanks for the video.

I was wondering how he raises and lowers the router with the enclosed dust box. I guess that's why he used magnets? A door or lift would've been better options.

This looks really great! I'm curious how it's holding up after 3 years, and if there's anything you would have done differently? I'm considering something similar in my yard and crowning it at the center to encourage drainage along the border rather than any subT PVC. Thoughts?

Nice work. Just got my Bosch router table with the intention of mounting it to my 36-725. Glad I came across this instruction video. It sure will help. One thing I did to my router table was to drill out holes in the slots that are used to tightened down the fence. I drilled and filed a hole in the back side of each slot. This hole is just large enough to get the head of the fence hold down screw through. This allows me to remove the fence without having to go under the table each time I want to get he fence out of the way. Not sure how often that will be but will make it easier if need be. With your dust collection set up it does look like this would not be too much of an issue though. One other thing I did is when I build my saw I put the foot pedal for the wheel on the other side. This was a couple years ago. Glad I did that so after the router table install I'll still have easy access to the pedal.

Great video. I'm curious though about the ra1181... I've never in my life found one to be flat. (Bosch Tools North America has a notoriously flawed cast aluminum system. From things as small as their PL2632 hand planer, to the Saw Shoes, to the 1181, they've all had warping,... traditionally in a corner to corner warp.) The older Bosch Router Table top, the RA1180 was a 10/10 in design and execution of tabletop quality. I'd pay $200 just for the old 1180 tabletop these days.
@curtissschindler418111 ай бұрын
That 3/4" inch looks more like 3/8". Plus I think the rail heights are different on my saw (left to right) so it would be different measurements on each side. Also I attached a piece of wood (3/4 x 6 x 24) to the router table with some drywall screws on the side that's closest to the saw blade. That automatically makes the router table flush with the saw table on that side then you just need to deal with leveling the outboard side.
