Did you cut the front stock bumper on it? Looks great! If so you got a video on it?

You have bigger than stock tires and you were in it for the weigh. If anything you may have made it lighter

If you wanted to make the antennae holder stronger and easy to make. The slot isn't necessary. Drill a hole, put the grommet in, and just slip it over the antennae before you screw it to the jeep.

Hey man is there any chance you’d have a measurement on how far back the rear of your tub is from the rear edge of the door? I’m looking at doing a similar build with my TJ and I like how your cab came out, but I can’t seem to find a measurement in any of your videos on where the rear of the cab finally ended up. Thanks!!
@BuiltDifferentGarage15 күн бұрын
Hey, absolutely! I measured from where the edge of the door and the tub stops for the belt rail. It’s right at 11 3/4in. Hopefully that makes sense haha. If not, send me an email [email protected] and I can provide pictures and measurements there.
@kollinknack928815 күн бұрын
@@BuiltDifferentGarage Thanks a ton!! I’m pretty sure I understand where your measurement is coming from. If you’d be willing to send me a picture, I’ll send you an email right after this just to confirm where your dimensions are from. But I wanted to compliment you on the way the Krute turned out. It’s really flippin cool, and I absolutely love the inspiration for my own TJ build. And I wanna make my cab and hardtop look like yours, it just looks correct. The AEV kits make the cab and top look too long IMO. But how’s the seating room?? Are you able to adjust your seat all the way back and lean it back a little bit? I’m 6’8 and it’s tight as is, I lean my seat back to fit better, and I’m just a tad concerned about it being too tight cutting the cab like yours. Again, thanks in advance, and I’ll get with you over email!

Now this is the type of video I like. A guy that is honest shows you how he gets something done ,and it's not done smoothly. So we know what we're up against. Keep the videos coming. Mike from the UK.

I've had my '03 for about a year now. I've typically had sports cars from Cobras to my most recent, '93 GTR as dailys. This thing is by far my favorite daily I've had. Even at 223k miles the wear on it, if any, has held up better than even cars I've seen with 1/4 the mileage and still drives smooth and comfortable. Toyota really knew what they were doing with this. In regards to the AHC, I absolutely love it. In all reality, the stock suspension will outlast traditional coil and shock setups by a long shot. I just had to replace the accumulators and fluid, $450 total and 2 hours of my time. Now I got another 200k miles on the setup, it rides like a cloud, and still adjustable. I highly recommend keeping it if anyone's considering deleting it.

I have a 2004 GX470 with 150000 miles. It is a one owner car always in Arizona. The chassis notification came on and now the back wheels spin independently from the front wheels and the car drives poorly. I can go forward or backward but turning is difficult. Does anyone know what is wrong and about how much it would cost to get it fixed? Before this happened, I could feel a vibration. Thanks for your thoughts

would using 2x6" rectangular tubing be superior to 2x4? I'm not concerned with the extra weight or cost. I'm just wanting more meat on the chassis frame. Or would that make it too rigid? Thanks for any feedback

Dude. Grab yourself a harbor freight or pawn shop atv/motorcycle jack. Makes gas tanks, trans, t-case, etc way easier. You'll get this to work. Just a speed bump

Interesting, I’ll have to look into that. I thought about building a cradle for the tank out of wood but too much work lol.

Next time to drain the fuel pull fuel line at the rail drain on to a gas can and stick a paper clip where the fuel pump relay is. And let it pump itself dry.
@BuiltDifferentGarageАй бұрын
That would have been much easier and definitely made the tank lighter. Appreciate that!

Well that's a bummer. I've been looking at these new tanks from Barnes. They look great and it's good to know how they fit. I'm sure you'll figure out an easy way of mounting it. Looking forward to a wheeling video.

All good! And definitely, no fault to Barnes. The product is perfect for what I need but my frame is the cause of no fit. The Barnes tank is a great solution regardless.

Dude, quit comparing the king of the offroad to a Jeep... Jeeps are prehistoric and pathetic. Even today, Jeep still cannot make a vehicle which half of what the 100 series is. Adjusted for inflation this was $100K+ SUV.

Sellout 😂. Just kidding, glad you saw the light, welcome! In all honesty, each offroad SUV has its use case. Jeeps are great in the US because they offer the most customization options. Lexus/Toyota come close but they are bigger and not as maneuverable on tight trails.
