What would it mean if there was a combination of diagonal wear on the inside of the heel and rotational wear on the outside?

If I start trying the techniques to improve the way I walk, is it normal that mi ankles hurt at the end of the day? I wanna know if it is just my body adjusting or if I’m doing it wrong

I think the design of the shoe is a factor too, flat feet too, the street or environment not being level, humans been beta testers since the sneaker got created, but could you imagine 1800's and below in terms of shoe's available, I'm sure your feet, body posture, and skeletal malalignment happened more with less remedy...thanks though I suspected I'd have to make corrections for improper walking, which is an underrated art.

No matter how good your walking technique is, normal sneakers (even yeezys) will break down in 1-2 years if you wear the same ones all the time. All mass produced plastic sneakers you can get from a sports stores have a lifespan of max 1-2 years. They are consumer items and are not designed to last forever. Forever lasting shoes wouldn't be too comfortable to wear and are relatively rare. The longest lasting shoes I've had are a pair of military/hiking boots and some quality leather shoes.

don't put the blame on the foot but on the shoe industry. my feet are wider than the external of every shoe in the entire planet. every shoe maker is making shoes as if you had only 4 fingers. there is a world conspiracy defending this as a denial and normalizing instead of actually producing WIDER shoes. and i mean really wider shoes. the exterior side back of the heel worns out TO EVERYONE. it's not unique like fingerprints. and shoe makers should reinforce that part in the first place. my tendons worn out excessive flexibility and crackling ankle results of wearing a worn out shoe for too long. soles should never be flat, but with this prevention as remedy compensation.

My right shoe always wear rapidly at the heel, like in the picture. It only takes a couple of months for a new pair to give me terrible pain in my knee. The joint gets twisted. I have tried everything, the only solution I found was using approach shoes (super hard soles used for climbing)
@adolforibeiro37393 күн бұрын
Small detail, but wear isn't caused by friction force. They have similar causes and solutions, but you can reduce friction and increase wear.

I get a lot of the diagonal heal wear on my right shoe. I will definitely use the advice I've learned in this video. Much of the wear that I get, however, stems from my right foot being crooked. When I was 14 (I'm 50 now), I broke my right leg (tibia once, fibula twice). As a result, my right leg is maybe a quarter inch shorter than my left, and my toe points out slightly. This is obvious if you see my footprints in the snow. I can walk with my toe pointed forward, but it involves twisting my hip, and it's quite uncomfortable. I'm not sure that there is a fix for this issue, just something I've learned to live with. Just the same, the posture and balance advice I've seen here is likely to do me some good. I do love walking, and I'd like to keep doing it as long as I can.

The only part I wear out is the center of the ball of the foot. It’s probably from walking giving that final push with the back foot when doing the fastest long strides.

have been skating my whole life and have only just started to consider these ideas within the last few years, reckoning with why certain tricks/types of skating get harder with age/changes to your body, thinking about height, compactness, stability. amazing to have found this video... it was like watching someone read your mind.

So wild that the foot with the lesser weight is the one with the most shoe wear.
@josephbruceismay68326 күн бұрын
across some of the shoes I've had over time, the wear pattern usually involves losing the treaded section/rubber part. as in, the bottom separates from the top. Normally at the front. The actual treads hardly ever wear that much. Maybe its just cheap shoes or maybe I'm somehow using the shoes wrong, I dunno.

tfw I got scoliosis and a tilted pelvis and very weak ankles, I use too much force in my step with both my feet but even more with my longer leg, which causes me too loose sensation in both my legs when walking rather fast. I prefer to wear shoes with ankle support cuz when I don't I "fall off my feet" end up standing on my ankles and all my shoes have immense wear on the middle of my heel so much that my shos can look in prestine condition but the heel is entirley gone. I always have holes in my socks and in too small shoes around my big toes but I attribute it to me taking way too long to trim my toe nails and the nails being extremley tough, I trim my fingernails minimum twice a week cuz if I don't I accidentally cut my and other ppls skin with them. I also am currently wearing sandals with ankle support now, havn't had a problem except that I need a new solution for the colder months since I walked off the soles of all my boots, not that the soles don't exist anymore they just fell off from the pressure from all that slipping onto my ankle cuz while my boots went over my ankles they were softer material which is why they couldn't give me support. I also prefer being barefoot cuz unless I have to wear shoes forcing my feet into one consitent shape, I like moving my feet a lot. A thing I like to do especially is to grab which I also often do when I feel unstable. I also just remembered my sandals don't have the wear in the middle of my heel, but I just checked it's cuz they don't have a flat heel and I can't ram something into the ground that doesn't even reach it

Both of my heels are worn off evenly with more wear towards the outside of the foot. Anyone know what to do with that??
@rustedsabre46998 күн бұрын
They wear out unevenly because the shoes are not custom fit to your particular foot. Is this not obvious? The only reason you are forced to adjust your movement to cause even wear, is because it is a general use tool meant to fit a bunch of different people. Don't adjust yourself to a tool if you don't have to. Just get the right tool for you to begin with.
