1:49, perfect examples of how to play defense on open side unders. First is perfect outside shoulder coverage that shuts down the cutter, next is perfect inside coverage for a block. 3:07, smart goal. 6:26, nice huck, great angle, although a little close to the defender. 8:12, such a clean example of Vert Stack with BOS initiation and no FOS defender poaching. --> also more the lack of inside break looks. One is thrown, but more from a BOS under who's wide open on the BS (almost hammer side). The guy who hucks the turnover doesn't hit the open under towards him nor look for the inside in the cutter's clear. Very different from today 8:58, great ho cutting for this pass, then a great huck continuation. Perfect ho stack offense. (Although unusual for C1 to get the disc from where the disc starts and without C3 or C4 clearing.) 10:52, DW side stack to start 11:33, interesting upline. Turnover though 11:43, how is that not a foul? 11:57, good holster 12:04, back 45 upline 12:29, ok so there are insides in this DW vert stack offense 12:49, around break goal. If the mark could be aware of the hectic stack, he could've given more inside and less around. *14:29, Bad reset cutting. surprising turnover. Revolver reset overactive and cuts off a cutter, then a miscue between the other reset and thrower. 14:53, one break throw goal. Straight over the face of the mark. Oof. (15:18, alt angle) 16:27, DW zone D. Revolver seem to score with relative ease... 18:47, DW Side stack 19:18, nice cutting to make the upline inside available. But thrower doesn't recognize it. 20:06, From trap sideline, DW throws 5 break throws to score. Nice job. So Revolver means revolving door? They let anything through? 21:42, Junk zone D for one throw. 22:01, Handler defender with white cap, Max Cook, one of DW's leading goal scorers, just easily gets open to the open side. Just makes it look easy. 24:01, Some sort of side/split stack from Revolver 24:40, upline from BS. Continuation power position huck. (25:27 alt angle) 26:24, Rolling pull played from back of endzone cuz guy missed it when trying to stop it. Rather lucky a teammate was back there to stop the disc holy hell. Yet they still only get a couple yards from the back of the endzone when D arrive. 26:48, that was hectic 29:29, nice ho cutting from Revolver. Incredible upwind huck. (29:55, alt angle) 31:30, another FOS inside break from DW, but like 1 of 3 or 4 so far. 32:02, what is Revolver doing?? Side stack clogging the OS? 32:45, FOS initiation again from DW 32:55, Nice timing their cut from FOS. First to watch for BOS then to get the inside. 33:00 Inside, then handblock. 33:51, Revolver resume after TO. DW shut down the easy options, force a huck which misses well wide of the cutter. Would expect more of a top team doing a simple flat side handler strike. Blame the wind though? 35:12, Oh lord what a bad throw. Lucky 37:15, Poach block from the BS. Revolver with their 4th turnover in front of their endzone to start an offensive point... 37:45, Revolver side blob stack 37:54, Kittredge getting open pretty freely, defender just trailing him, but turnover bc of a bad upwind throw. That contact would probably be a yellow card these days too. *38:50, upline give-go shut down? Stranded handler... calls TO. 40:48, (41:03, alt angle) Kurt Gibson's endzone to endzone downwind huck may not have been a bad call, given DW's ability to shut down Revolver's offense and what do you know, two big block chances are generated. Neither capitalized one though. But not the worst gamble. 41:20, this must be really bad wind to lift a disc like that. Could probably have just thrown it straight and flat and it would've held like a ball on a treadmill... 43:40, BS reset miscue turnover --> 44:21, Lol first look after turnover is a hammer huck 45:07, Revolver really struggling to go upwind against good defense. Sometimes they cut themselves off or overlook open players, but shouldn't discredit DW playing good D. 45:59, keep throwing 50-50s and you'll get one... DW's 3rd questionable huck in this 8 min long point 1:34:06, oh Kurt, Lord what a bad throw. 1:35:15, nice assist, much better throw from Kurt

the Canadian marks are frustrating me (as well as some bad bids through people)...but I'm impressed by the Americans playing through it and even using it to their advantage at times (although not completely innocent either)...this is the era where Canada open started earning a bad rep...I hope we're better now

Man, that UF crew brought such a dirty mindset to the sport. Before then, you would see it here and there (UNCW), but that 4-man cup that was maybe legal half of the time, crashing into throwers while throwing, instant BS bail-out calls, oscar-caliber crybaby contests, just the worst.
