Got to be one of the dumbest videos ever. Had to stop watching after only a few minuets. Either this guy is stoned or I am. Maybe it's BOTH of us. I'll try to hold off smoking for a few days to see if that had anything to do with my impression. It seemed as though both cars were the same color, they both had a hatchback, each carried stuff in the back, but one cost more than the other. I this are the only comparison data, I'd choose the cheaper model. That way I'd have some money left over for other things, like re-hab.

Good analysis. However the X is wider so when you put kids in the car and go on a road trip, they have more room ( 5 seater). So in my opinion, the X wins

Automatic door is dealbreaker. And basically right now used X 2017 versus brand new Y - X is cheaper about 5-7K. So, I would say X is winner

Great video comparison Marc and I agree up to a point. But here in 2024 I'm in the opposite position. I have a leased 2021 Model Y that is coming off lease in 2 months. I could lease another 2024 Y for $250/month less but I elected to buy a used 2018 Model X from Tesla instead. I got the Model X 100D with MCU 2 and every other option available including 6 seats and upgraded sound system/wheels for $38K. It has 48K miles but is in excellent condition and carries a 1 year 10K mile new vehicle warranty. Thats an over $100K vehicle with warranty for $38K and it has the $6K Enhanced Autopilot for road trips. I know there are some issues with the X and I, as I tend to do, have thoroughly researched this and feel that the X is well worth the price I'm payin. Because of it's relatively uniqueness and features I believe it will have good resale value in the future. With all the Model Y's in the world, and with the current low prices they may be difficult to sell down the road. I intend to get a Cybertruck (12/03/2019 reservation) when they come back to earth price wise and get some of the bugs worked out but the Model X will be great for transporting up to 6 people comfortably which is something the Model Y simply can't do. The six seater is the sweet spot on the X with the 7 seater a close second. They are also as rare as hens teeth and that makes them more valuable. That said, the Model Y is the best car I've ever owned and I say that coming from a 2018 Range Rover Tesla makes great vehicles and for people like me who have level 2 home charging, solar with batteries and the Supercharger network for road tripping Tesla is the only BEV option ... period. Thanks again for your video and I hope the Y worked out for you and your family. It's a great car.

Getting ready to buy these for the bolt… I’m going 16” for the best ride and lowest weight.

I, like many, don't like where you have to look on the Tesla screen. The Bolt has both a sharp side screen and a lovely one directly in front of the steering wheel.

First, I drove expensive Cadillacs for awhile. My Bolt is as comfortable as those 4 Cadillacs. Also, for my size, the Bolt is roomier.

Guess what. In an endurance run with EVs up to $20,000 more than the 2023 Bolt. The Bolt beat EVERYONE!!!! The big difference here. All but the Bolt have AWD. That system uses more fuel than the Bolt front-wheel drive. Also, there is what is called regen (of energy). The Bolt has a superior one.

I have a 2018 Bolt and I love it! I also drove the 3 when looking. I did not like the Tesla’s one pedal drive system as much. Chevy had the braking of the one pedal drive much closer to how I would break a IC car. I also much preferred the Bolts interface. I got in and was immediately able to drive it and use its systems as it’s laid out and functions like a normal car. I feel like if you like Android phones you’ll probably like the Tesla and if you like Apple, then the Bolt is for you.

Just curious, do the spray cleaners interfere with ventilated seats? Like if they get in the holes?
