The song is called Main Theme because you can clearly hear the original NES Theme on it, but a much more evolved version.

I get that in another reply you explained that the Generations US track didn't exactly matter due to being an unlockable song, but the way you talked about the Bad Future in both instances of Modern Sonic remixes (i.e. "Generations didn't remix any US tracks" and "Forces is the only game that ever referenced the US soundtrack" (Made worse by the fact you mentioned Generations AGAIN when leading into the Metal Sonic fight)) feels like you outright ignored the fact it even existed entirely. In fact, it almost feels like misinformation for the unknowing the way it was worded. I still enjoyed the video, and your opinion on the US tracks are as valid as any opinion, and I know you never mentioned other Generations side remixes, but the straight denial of the track's existence stuck out like a sore thumb.
@AlexYardZone7 күн бұрын
@RobertTheFoxxo I read your message a couple times but your point is unclear. The core data point is that the USA ost doesn't appear in any gameplay level. If it was mandatory listening in-game it would have been mentioned in that way. The purpose of these showcases is to demonstrate how the music helps build the environment of the zone. That bonus track doesn't tell the story of any zone in generations.

Crazy theory here: The JP soundtrack is how Sonic sees the levels, and the US (save for the past) is how the level atmosphere actually is

@@AlexYardZone it was an interesting talk about one of my favorite Genesis era sonic tracks. I'm not much of a music person tho so I'm unable to evaluate it beyond stating it was an enjoyable way to pass the time waiting for dinner to cook, so thank you for that 😊

So let me get this straight. Beethoven didn't actually compose the Diabelli variations? Bach didn't compose the Musical Offering? Are you sure you understand what composers do?
@AlexYardZone16 күн бұрын
Reality check. Diabelli wrote his composition and then sent it to prominent composers of the day, inviting them to create their own variations. Beethoven corresponded with Diabelli during his creative process and a fee was negotiated. See if you can figure out the difference with Spear's situation.

I will tweet your comment and my response, in order to make an example of your misinformed condescension, conducting yourself in a manner that directly contradicts the core message of Undertale (2015).

@@AlexYardZone You didn't actually answer my question though! Are you composing when you write variations on a theme? I don't particularly care about Toby Fox here, I'm specifically addressing your bizarre and rigid classification of original compositions and the moral weight you seem to attach to it.

Since the answer to your question is evident and available on wikipedia, I won't waste my breath. Seek out a local kindergarten teacher if you're struggling with reading comprehension.

@@AlexYardZone You misunderstand me, what I'm struggling with is figuring out how you're reconciling the views you're expressing in this video with the evident reality of music composition. but, WHY does 7 specifically produce this effect? i get that returning to the tonic sounds releasing and happy. but 7 is the opposite of 1, so shouldn't 7 sound angry? if it returned to the angry note, what would that number be? 5? why? what's the correlation? I understand there's math to the music, i understand the music itself, i don't understand the *connection being made here*. it feels so arbitrary! where's the logic that brings the math and art together? youre giving examples as if i don't believe you. its not that i think youre wrong, i just want to understand the actual reasoning behind the facts.
