the contrasting views of Kishore and Orville is interesting, and it's also clear each a product of their environment. I'm taught to focus not on who, but what is right. I believe Kishore keeps focusing on the here and now, and content with status quo, or surviving. Orville speaks more in ideological terms, and lays out a vision of a future at risk, and why. Kishore ignores these signs, and are content making peace, but as Orville points out, history has taught us, it doesn't always work, in fact rarely works. There's another point about China's long history, the CCP ruled China represents some of the darkest in Chinese history. Communism and the CCP has failed China, and it's people. It's clear the choice people in Taiwan would make, and I also believe the vast majority of people in China, if given a chose to choose without fear, would be one in the same, freedom.
