That low shot with the reflection on the cars was creative, glad you thought of it.

Thanks, that was actually from my drone after I found out I could not launch in that area due to flight restrictions.

The J is my favorite fallen flag. I still remember in late 2010 seeing one of their J Ball locomotives in Cedar Rapids for the first time. I wish they had gotten to Cedar Rapids more often before CN started repatching them.

It is a great video indeed. Unfortunately, the trains on the former EJE no longer sound their horns as it is one huge quiet zone. It's still nice to railfan.

Nice vid. That's my old sheboygan coal train (LTN81/LTN82). EDGX reporting marks (edgwater generating station) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgewater_Generating_StationA miserable job that pays over 90K plus/year.

People may miss the 'J', but most don't know they've been bankrupt for more than 13 years before CN bought them out. They must have gone down because industry has gone down. Check out the number of trains on the UP Harvard, UP Belvidere, CP Milwaukee, UP Milwaukee, and UP Kenosha subs to check out the industry of today. Quite a difference of what they were decades ago. Yet the CN gets all the attention. The "J" technically still lives on, but just under a different name.

@theup3985 It does seem that way. I think some people just dont see trains the way us railfans do anymore, and coming from a 14 year old thats saying somehting. I really hope the 1003 will be restored again. Check out my Facebook group Restore Soo Line 730, I am trying to restore it because it was my Great Great Grandfathers train.

The place you guys were videotaping at: Were you guys given permission to watch from there or did you just park there and watch? And if you drove there, did you park there? and if you did, were you asked to leave?
