I am also actually hoping to one day own a C8 Vette. No one on KZbin ever mentioned the experience of the build quality of the C8s interior as well as the view of the engine in the engine bay.

Seems useless. The car is already designed to break through the air without resistance compared to cars that have flat bumpers and go against air. I see the body is of some type of fiber glass so theres no weight reduction either, water and dust will be getting in which will ruin things faster, equally it probably added resistance now if its sealed inside since air will be getting in 👎🏽

It's a $2500 option, that I wouldn't get because 1) it's $2500 2) it's heavy 3) it fails 4) would be removed anyway when we put Penske shocks on it and 5) I have a removable splitter

The C8 model is the FIRST Corvette to ever see the inside of a wind tunnel. American car manufacturers were never much for using these fancy, modern things in the first place.

Watched this today a second time. Very glad you're alive! I spoke with someone from AMT this year, about harness bar for C7 and bought BK instead of Sharkbar; with AMT seat mounts and 6-point harnesses as well. A month ago I got into nasty crash due to ABS going into so-called ice mode, and all of the safety equipment worked perfectly, quite likely saving my life. It was on the "street", but I was strapped with 6-points. Thank you for a great product!

Hey man, I really appreciate this video and you stepping up to do this. I am new to track days and motorsports but had plans next year to modify my car in the hopes to get more speed. But your story has motivated me to instead of doing that, to first invest on safety measures. Will be looking into fire suppression systems, roll cage, racing suits and helmets.
