Taking some time to discuss work with students individuals is extremely helpful for the young scholars. Question - as somebody who works at an inner-city school I am not so lucky to take my focus off the whole class and onto a single student without mayhem ensuing. Does anyone have any advice to help me quell this issue?

*When I heard about Learn with Learn-to-read program [Link Here==] I jumped at the opportunity to try it out with my son. He was having so much fun that he didn't even realize that we were doing a Learn-to-Read activity. [Check Details Here ==**facebook.com/Teach-Your-Child-To-Read-731975013638587/app/208195102528120** ] It is more than just practice drills like most of the reading apps out there. It doesn't presume that she already knows certain things.*

ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) Learning to Read program is much more fun. Short stories and songs reinforce phonics. ACE is NOT COMMON CORE agenda and much more age appropriate.

Great video. I like that you are focusing on the teaching rather than having the camera on the speakers. Not that I mind that either, just seems more teachers would be willing to do a video if they didn't have to 'perform' so to speak. As a third grade teacher, I'm always looking for new insight into how I can inspire and improve my students writing. The Internet is really a great source. Sincere thanks to all teachers who upload this type of material.

Thank you and Please keep uploading videos on writing. It's really teaches step by step and very helpful for those need help in writing. Most of kids have brainstorming ideas but they are lack of organizational skills and your videos cover all those skills. Wish you could upload full video of this lesson. Again, thank you so much taking time to upload educational videos.

My niece is in the 4th grade. She sat me down and explained common core math. She showed me a few problems. One of which I pointed out she got wrong. She explained to me how she came up with the problem. My response was "I see how you came up with it, but that doesn't change the fact that your answer is wrong". She again explained to me how she came up with the answer. She said her teacher wants them to explain how they came up with their answer. If they can explain how then they still get points for an incorrect answer. So I looked my young beautiful niece in the eyes and said, if I were to one day hire your for my engineering department and you got your answer wrong, and it took you that long to come up with it, but you could "explain" how you got the answer I will proceed to "explain" why you're fired! After explaining what being fired meant I then proceeded to teach her real math in less than 5 minutes and now all her answers were correct and on top of that she is solving them in 1/8 the amount of time. Problem solved... You're welcome!

we were not taught this way, common core is complex and stupid and make it harder for kids to learn math, the way we were taught in the 80's was easier and simpler and the teachers alwys showed us on the chalk board first, simple way is like this= 34 + 18, 8 +4 = 12, carry the 1 over above the three, 1 +3 +1 =5, answer 52, 34 + 18 is 52 simple easy to remember, non of this complex confusing common core crap.

Becoming a teacher is a bad idea. I have been one for many years. Classrooms are only like this one one in a million. I had one that was like this and 30 years of classes that were not. Be careful what you want.
