Yes, you can turn off the laser for all the modes. On auto (audio) mode the strobe still remains But you can use only derby if needed.

Hey, SP107e controller (5 dollars) Led strip is with individually adressable LEDs ws2812b (35-40 dollars) power supply (10 dollars) These are the current prices in Bulgaria Ocne you build the setup, you simply download and install this app on your android phone to control the effects: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spled.pzse&hl=bg&gl=US Cheers :)
