I’ve not worked with resin before. But do you need UV light to dry this resin or just allow it to sit for a few hours? Thank you

There are many types of resin and types of applications. On our website resinzwood.com we have a how to tutorial section that you would find usefull. Follow our facebook page and contact us there as we help many people. facebook.com/resinwoodtablesnz/ UV resin is basically for doing jewelry and small things. mate love it. been building and working on this now for about a month as a hobby ( im a electrician so I think my machine is the most over engineered on the planet) I dont have much wood work experience Im making cheese boards and such, but they warp. any tips how to straighten them
@ResinWoodTablesNZ7 ай бұрын
Use kiln dried timber. We stock and sell kiln dried timbers. 021966387
@PatrickMorgan-c6k3 ай бұрын
You can use a heat gun to get rid of some of the moisture in the boards. Just run it back/forth over the warped part for about 10 mins to start, then let the board cool down completely and check if it's flattened out any. Repeat as necessary.

This must be the best table in the world!!! There are some fantastic artists making resin artwork, but this is in a different league. Shifted gears and is light years ahead of other great artists . There's a new king and I can't wait to see if the others will take up the challenge . Resin art has just changed forever, where to go from here? Five stars *****! Check out all the other projects.

Wow, thank you! I feel very humbled and really appreciate your comment. I aim for as much realism as I can possibly achieve. micro bubbles are intentional? looks like bad resin. Clarity does not look the best. Probably should have sanded off the white colored resin thats all over the kauri. Bit of a mess really
@ResinWoodTablesNZ8 ай бұрын
The micro bubbles you see in the sides is from the use of perspex for the mould trapping air in the first couple of mm. Once the table is completed all of those would have been sanded off when we come to detailing. The white you see are marks from working on the upper layers and like we have said before all the top gets sanded and detailed

Thats Mikes product. Works alright, just dont put on to thick or use as a filler, if it is to thick it tends to stay like rubber and you find it will clog up your sandpaper when you go to sand it. Nice clean piece of Kauri.

No it will not be yellow in ten years. The deep cast is low UV rating but the top coats are very high UV rated and it will be in a filtered light area.
