Great Band and lots of great music. Real shame about the awful venue not suitable for purpose with no seats. Standing for several hours is not acceptable for the older demographic that attends blues festivals GET A DIFFERENT VENUE NEXT YEAR HRH or provide some seating

I agree great bands and great music. Venue - well I've been to Leicester O2 several times and must say that having experienced average sound quality, this weekend's sound set-up was great. Lighting, however was a nightmare - I heard comments from professional photographers and audience alike that the lighting set-up was poor. Most of the lighting was behind the band so you were watching silhouettes or had bright spotlights straight in your face. As for seating I'm mid/late 50's myself but still prefer to stand (feel "closer" to the band, more interaction and allows a bit of dancing if I so wish). However I understand some people like to sit. I think the initial set-up at Great Yarmouth was not well received with about 6 rows of seats in front, then the barrier for standing behind. The second day, half and half widthwise was better. This allowed me to take my usual spot standing at the front near the middle. Maybe as per Sheffield a while back where the left and right third was seated and the centre third standing would offer the best compromise. However there was seating at Leicester - upstairs balcony for "Royalty" and some seats at the side of the room.
