This is a fantastic video. Brilliantly explained and detailed. Many thanks for taking the time to make it. For years I have been buying a new Casio watch when the strap broke (the strap always fails before the watch) because I couldn't work out how to get the pin out. Just done it and works well. So thanks again and hats off to you.

Great idea! But how does it deal with rainwater? Does it flow through the mortar or gather on top?

God bless you David!! After 2 years the band was tearing and I used day glo green gaff tape to keep it together 😂kinda like the nose tape on glasses. I knew the arrows on the band meant something I used a push pin but not pliers . Thanks for the tip now I can put a band on my favorite watch I 1:16 1:16 bought on clearance!! Stay blessed🙏🏽

Casio owners gathering hahah. Mine cost me about 10€ and I've had it for years, working at a powerplant, I've subjected it to diesel, petrol, sludge, dirt, ocean water, scraping, bumps, and it still works like a charm. The bracelet finally snapped and that's why I'm here. Thank you for your video :)

Also works on a F-84w, you gotta push in the same direction to remove the pin even though it shows two arrows on the strap (left and right)

Check that you're pushing them in the right direction and maybe use a tiny punch with the watch held above a hole in a piece of wood.

I tried to do this tonight, pushing in the direction of the arrow. I used a push pin, safety pin, sewing pin, large and small sized paper clips, sim card remover, entomology pin. I tried grabbing it with pliers and pushing with all my might. I couldn't get the rod out. So, I gave up and just decided to wear it with the original strap. I figure the watch is so cheap that it's not worth buying whatever the tool is for that.

Sorry to hear that. Make sure you're pushing in the direction of the arrow.
