Im from Oklahoma (The Village), what are these, and why dont you want them to bud? Ive been thinking about getting a couple of plants
@Lollylobacres5 ай бұрын
Hello. These are chrysanthemums. It's not really that I don't want them to bud, but that I don't want them to bud yet. I would much prefer them to be much larger before they bud. I want to be able to sell them at their peak, Chrysanthemums are tricky, they need lots of sun to help them grow, once they start getting more shade than sun they begin to set blooms. Chrysanthemums bloom at least three times a year so even if I sell them at this size, they will get huge eventually. They are very healthy plants and will do well for anyone that buys them.

@Lollylobacres5 ай бұрын
A friend gave me an idea. If you have feed bags, you can place them down in small areas to help kill off the weeds I think this is an excellent use and handy way to repurpose them.

As a matter of fact, yes I did, in the Raffle I won two 7 inch and two 11 inch plant pots, and in the Iris Auction I won Irises "This Is Crazy", "Beyond Pretty" and "Destination Unknown". I also came home with irises - "Reckless Abandon", "Sweet Devotion", "Easter Bonnet", "Dracula's Kiss" and "Ghirardelli Square". It was a fabulous time.

Pick it! The bottom will rot. It turns color on you counter
@Lollylobacres7 ай бұрын
Oh no no no... This baby gets to do its thing in the sun. It was fasciated which is why you see the spot on the bottom. But letting it ripen in the sun and picked in the middle of the day before watering will concentrate the sugars and give it its best flavor. My tomatoes taste amazing. Now if I were selling, I would most likely pick as soon as I started seeing color, but then they just do not quite taste the same and their skin is a little thicker.

She is just scratching for food to feed the babies, little ones got in the way. They are very resilient when they are first hatched. They kinda just roll with the flow.

I raise chickens when I was younger, and I always loved turn the eggs each day in the incubator waiting until time for them to hatch. Do you give them a few sips of sugar water when they are born
@Lollylobacres7 ай бұрын
My chickens stay in their incubator until completely dried off, it is quite humid in there, so no need for the water right away. I do give them electrolytes to drink the first day, followed by water with garlic oil and oregano oil which are natural antibiotics. They also get chick crumbles from day one. Raising chickens has been so much fun. Thanks for asking.
