This is super cute. I did a clay incense holder once but I didn't know about not using spray clear seals and it ruined it. Varathane polyurethan is what I seal most stuff with. That may work? He'd also be a great penholder tho

Brilliant crafting…but wasn’t the incense stick lit at the wrong end?🪄🐛

I’m sorry for having a filthy mind, but around the 3:17 mark the caterpillar looked like a medieval sex device 😂. Once I got myself under control and finished the video,the end result was adorable 😊

It is enjoyable to see the process of sculpting this thing and your thoughts on it as a slightly more experienced sculptor. As somebody who has not watched a scary movie in their life, the concept of cordyceps is wonderfully mortifying to think about. Also, LEIF IS THAT YOU?

Why didn’t you just make it flat then put it in position? Just wondering?
@entoclay21 күн бұрын
Fair question! That would end up using too much clay (meaning wasted materials) and it wouldn’t be as pliable since the rolls would get in the way of each other

What about covering Herman, that's his new name😂, in a thin layer of resin? I don't think resin stains with ash... but I wouldn't put it where any flames would be, obviously 😂 this little guy is absolutely adorable!! Great job on the paint job too!❤❤❤

Ok, this creation was next-level spooky! That moth looks like it could belong in a horror movie or some eerie fantasy world. Watching it all come together was so fascinating. This is the kind of thing that gives Halloween crafting a new dimension!

I’ve noticed Clay artists, use tiny weighing scales to make sure that everything is even and the same size when you have to make replicas of the same thing. I’m looking into getting one myself. Also bake and bond might help when you’re adding the wires, before baking of course but I don’t know much about oven clay yet. To add, I just checked out your channel, and you are so amazingly talented at creating these insects and bugs too!😮. Lol at you using the wrong side of the incense (from reading the comments first) but you live, and you learn 😊 you also blow out the flame if it doesn’t go out after a bit.
@entoclayАй бұрын
I'm actively taking notes on this comment hahaha thank you for all the tips!!! And thank youuuu for checking out the rest of my channel <333

@@entoclay no worries hun 😂 this one got saved in my crafts play list so I can watch it again, I really enjoyed your video I had to show my mom and she thought it was gorgeous which she never usually says about bugs lol. 😅 Also to add (after reading my comment back) if it the clay is to small for the weight to be picked up on the scale, you can get these little round cutters in a set with the different sizes. That way you can get the same amount for each one. Happy claying lol! X
