The interviewer called out Elvis' style for what it was; "Rhythm and Blues". Also, can you believe Elvis just said he "stumbled" upon the style? I guess that's probably why black Americans were a bit miffed with him. Fortunately he later on started to give acknowledgement.

James Brown and Elvis Presley are definitely enjoying Heaven. I can see it where God has VIP seats for him and Jesus and Archangels Michael and Gabriel and every soul gets the best seats in Cloudy Stadium. Seeing James and Elvis as a duet and they got BB King and a very special guest in Heaven is Lisa Marie Presley singing with her daddy and heavenly godfather not as a duet but as a Quartet. I can imagine God is having a wonderful time listening to one of his favorite children.

@@jamesinbradford5882just a singer?😂 such demeaning arrogant remarks about a legend from ordinary mediocre people like you will never cease to make laugh 😂😂😂😂😂😂 The main reason it's funny when regular people like you try to belittle Elvis is because lots of the big legendary people hold Elvis in high regards especially the Beatles! So you may spend your entire regular life trying to belittle Elvis but you'll never succeed simply because someone regular little like you can't put down a legend much let alone a huge legend that Elvis is.

Elvis contract was not cancelled in Vegas in 1956 at the New Frontier Hotel. They wanted to renew it. A legend is that he bombed in Vegas he didn't. He was different but they were slowly warming up to him. Footage exists of the concert and you can see the stuffy older people clapping their hands and tapping their feet. They held a special matinee concert that all the teens attended, and they almost broke down the door of the Hotel. The reviews of that time exist and make good reading. This guy doesn't have the facts.
@rustywells015 ай бұрын
I do have the facts and No he did not have a good showing in Vegas in 56! His shows were half sold and his contract was not to be renewed hence why he was done to just finish out the dates! One of the reviews of the day was for teenagers he’s a whiz and for the average Vegas spender he’s a Fizz! Elvis himself said after the first show he would just walk around in the dark . It was awful! With that said, The kids came for the matinees for $1 and a free pop but the older people didn’t come much!

Rest in peace Elvis Presley I have recently became 1 of your biggest fans after watching your movie I was once told that you were racist but after watching your movie it changed my whole perspective of you and I wish I could find the old hag that told me that you are the real true king of rock and roll my you continue to rest well
@samhugh49652 ай бұрын
I’m so glad that the movie has been able to change some minds on his being a racist. I recently went down the Elvis rabbit hole after seeing the movie and it was clear from what I found that not only did he have much love and respect for the black community, back then the black community cared for him as well. Elvis was called (forgive me) a “n” lover and was hung and burned in effigy because he did, indeed, spend a great deal of time in the black community and cherished it.
