I have to speak some basic truth here. I AM a combat vet with multiple deployments. Hate to tell you but WE DON'T TRUST YOU. If a vet chooses to be homeless he wasn't a combat vet. I consistently approach a homeless "vet" as they advertise it on their signs. Only one was actually a vet. Period.

A good way to think about it is that for someone growing up on Ceres in The Expanse (which has constant centrifugal gravity of 0.3g), moving to Earth would subject them to 3.333 times the normal gravity that their bodies are adapted to. Imagine carrying a backpack that weighs twice as much as you do and imagine trying to even stand up. That's why Earth gravity crushes belters. It has nothing to do with air pressure, which would be reasonably similar between Earth and Ceres since human biology itself is adapted for a certain amount of oxygen. Otherwise earthers would suffocate on Ceres as there wouldn't be enough air to breathe.

I would love go just for a visit, chill out and reminisce. Are vets and civilians allowed to tour the place?

I believe so, especially around the grinder, but just not in the restricted training areas

I'd steal Pez, just like I did back home--in fact, being busted for Pez was why the judge ordered me to join the Suck (I didn't have cargo pockets).

I'll bet the drops in this video tried applying for a job at that store, got turned down there, too, so lived in an unserviceable shelter-half down by Ribbon Creek.
