Thanks sir for the tips. My family just got a sad iron stove. It's really cosy and is able to warm a small space and heat food. I bought mineral oil in sale during the summer. It was sold in a guardening center next to real torches nobody bought. We also use it as a cosy light during the dark winterd. Very useful tool considering we got more power outages recently than in the past.

THANK YOU! for this video, Im searching for a sub-compact and liked the Kioti CS alot but what no one explains/shows/writes down is can you have 3 Point AND Backhoe on the same tractor or not. I will need backhoe like 1-2 a year but will really need it, otherwise will use 3 point hitch, thought I will have to choose one or another, thank you again, great video
@CamppattonFamilyCompound7 күн бұрын
Kioti has two different ways to attach a backhoe. I got the one with the underframe. Some brands have the backhoe that attaches with the three point. Bobcat has one that attaches to it's skid-steer and track steer loaders on the front.

I'll watch a new channel once. If the first thing the creator does is beg for clicks and subs before content is even shown, well, that is pretty irritating. Show us what you have. If we like it, you will get clicks and subs. It's that simple. YT has been around since 06' we know what to do.
@CamppattonFamilyCompound8 күн бұрын
A lot of viewers don't know about subscribing to a channel and even more don't know about the notification choices. I have had quite a few tell me this. And I'm NOT begging, just reminding viewers about their ability to do things. A lot of the biggest channel also do the reminder. If you are that irritated by it I don't want you watching my videos. If you are interested in learning thing then just chuckle at the reminder, learn and share good information with me and my viewers

Three things come to mind; dry wick, this could be because there is not enough wick in the fuel or not enough fuel. Short wick adjustment. the wick is not adjusted to the proper height to burn properly. This can also cause smoking. Water in the fuel. with water in the fuel a couple of thing can happen. The water blocks the flow of fuel so there is not enough traveling up the wick to sustain the flame. The water close to the flame, turn to steam and puts the flame out. Pour the fuel out into a glass jar and let it sit for a while. Water will settle to the bottom. if you can't tell put a couple drops of food coloring in and stir the fuel. the food coloring with color the water not the fuel. If there is water in the fuel you need to check the source container for water as well. Bad fuel. bad fuel can inhibit proper combustion. After several years lamp oil can go bad. just as Old gasoline turns into a thick varnish, lamp oil changes too.

Didn't they say they were supposed to review the letters of interest and pick the best qualified person? I haven't seen that guy at ANY city council meeting video, ever! Sounds like some illegal back room deal with nepotism to get his son in. I would report that to the state AG

You can prime a dry wick with a little WD-40
@CamppattonFamilyCompound26 күн бұрын
True, but it will stink for a little while. That's something people will have to deal with if they forget to get the wicks primed ahead of time.

Thanks for this. Might want to think twice about striking matches whilst wearing what could be fuel soaked latex gloves! could be cause for an emergency trip to the burns unit of the local hospital...
@CamppattonFamilyCompoundАй бұрын
The fuel is combustible not flammable. Big difference. Combustible fuel needs a wick to burn, it cannot produce vapors to burn at room temperature. Thanks for your concern though.

And don't forget the button lamp from The Long Hard Winter book of Laura Ingall's. Axle grease smeared onto a china saucer, a button wrapped in cloth and tied over the button, the excess fabric forming a wick. I'm sure it smoked but it gave them light to read and cook by.

No disrespect at all, but I don’t think it was stressed enough, that in your thumbnail, you mention that these fuels are for “emergencies,” and not for every day use-at least that’s how I interpreted it. Diesel fuel may work, but given enough time in a small to medium sized room, it will smell like a truck stop very quickly-diesel fuel is smokey. An Amish gentleman who is very experienced with fuel lamps told me that they use Low odor mineral spirits in their lamps. It’s spendy but very clean burning, no smell and doesn’t carbon up the glass on the lamp.
@CamppattonFamilyCompoundАй бұрын
No disrespect taken. Thank you for your suggestion on the thumbnail. I have changed it. Yes Diesel can be smokey if the wick is not trimmed (adjusted) correctly. And it needs trimmed often when in use unless one is using a carbon felt wick. I have since found out that on road diesel has more additives in it than off road and that puts off more toxic chemicals. I addressed this in the live stream I did last November on my preparedness channel (Gray Man Prepping) as a follow up to this video. Whenever I mention oil lamps in any live stream or recorded video, I say to stock up on a good quality lamp oil just like any other supply. Thank you for watching and your input. Stay safe and prepared.
