lol I watched Nickelodeon all the time when my grandparents were babysitting, but they definitely forbade me from watching Ren and Stimpy. One day while their backs were turned I happened to catch this episode on Nick in the Afternoon's UPick. The part with Stimpy's skin traumatized me for weeks...

No, he provided Ren’s voice for some full Spumco cartoons & filler shorts durring S2 as production was transitioning from Spumco to Games Animation. Aside from those few exceptions, S2 Ren is still primarily voiced by John K through most of that season’s run. To answer your specific question though, the first full cartoon West officially voiced Ren for was S2’s Monkey See Monkey Don’t (which another interesting production fact, that cartoon was apparently also the first time the “Created by John K” drawing didn’t show up after the show’s main opening.). I guess making that short the first official full Games Animation R&S cartoon (despite it being written by future R&S show runner Bob Camp alongside with “at the time” Spumco stand Vincent Waller who left R&S when John was fired)? I don’t know, S2’s production is complicated. This comment went on for way too long. Sorry, but there you go. XD

I can’t help but think Stimpy set Ren up on purpose, to get mauled by the baboon. Payback for all the hell Ren put him through in the past.

No I think Stimpy is just dumb and he didn't think to tell Ren there was a baboon since Ren only told him to check if there was a dog yet he didn't tell Stimpy to check for a baboon.
