Helping a person especially one who is in dire need is a value that is priceless that a feeling of indebtedness is created in the other. Hiya, shame and is a motivating factor behind behaviour. It is a sense of social propriety and conforming to societal norms of behaviour. Amor Propio, self-love is another factor that governs social etiquette in the Philippines. It a sense of self-worth or self-respect that, when followed, prevents hiya. Filipino traits that we are known . Hospitality, extending a welcome to travelers or offering a home away from home. Close family ties, relationship of the family being extended to the to others. Respect to others, means treating everyone and everything with care. The golden rule is to treat others the way you would like to be treated. Filipino social values, reiterate the importance of values related to society such as good governance, love for country, honesty and integrity.

I learned that values are those aspects in like that include customs, traditions, etc., Which the people regard as necessary and important in their dealings with one another. Pakikisama(sense or togetherness) -it refers to doing somebody o good deed -it is not only practice in neighborhood but also at work and school. Utang na loob(dept or gratitude) -it is very important to filipinos. It is recognizing and returning the favor that person in the same measure who help them in times of need. - it may not be good if the person is forced to do something even against his/her will or against the law just to pay the dept of gratitude. Hiya -it approaching higher authorities -it may be observed in the Filipinos families. They try to avoid doing things that may be dishonor their family's name and reputation. Armor Propio -it has been characterized as the high degree of sensitivity that makes a person intolerant to criticism and causes him to have an easily wounded pride. Filipino traits - it is a distinguishing feature or character of a person or a group of people. •Hospitality- magaling mag welcome ng mga bisita ang mga Filipino •Close Family Iies- madaming Filipino ang nakatira sa isang bahay •Respect for Elders- kilala tayo sa pagrespeto sa mga masnakakatanda sa atin •Filipino Social Values- ito ang nagbabind sa lahat ng traits natin.

The lessons I've learned from this module "The Filipino Way" is that filipino values and traits dictates how we connect / communicate with our fellow Filipinos. The filipino values such as pakikisama, utang na loob, hiya, amor propio and filipino traits like hospitality,close family ties,respect for elders and strong family values are some ways on how we develop a deeper and harmonious relationship with others. But we still have to be mindful at times cause it may be too much at times even it has positivepoints. This is showing the filipino way to gain smooth interpersonal relation with each other.

According to what I have learned about the Filipino Character, its more like how the filipinos show the hospitality of everyone here in our country. That Filipinos have what we called the "Pakikisama" it means being enjoyed and be influence to the people around you, being afraid of having misunderstanding to anyone that can make problem.
