Thank you so so much! These ones are the ohuhu a4 marker sketchbooks I’ve been using, they have pure white paper, and soooo many pages, was my all time favourite to use, but I think I will experiment with a dofferent sketchbook after the new one I have, it’s sooo heavy and hard to port around 🥴🥲💖

Oh and the golds and silvers in this book are the posca markers I would purposefully leak out and use a lil paint brush, but I don’t do that anymore I just got some small posca nib ones instead 🥰

I think she is one of my favourites! I love her cute expression and all the little details! I think you adding all the lighter details and highlights at the end balanced out the overall look, I don't find it too dark! 🤩And that hot pink is indeed gorgeous, goes so well with her hair!😊

The kuretake set is gansai also, which is different than just watercolor or gouache, so if you want to do western style watercolor but with a japanese flair holbein is the one to go with. aka very vibrant, but also sits where you put it since it doesn't have oxgall, which is better for some illustrative styles. Also means most of the colors except ivory black are vegan if that something you care about (or mixes with ivory black)

I love Holbein watercolors 😭 I don’t know if I’d say there my favorite favorite but they’re wonderful! If you’re in Europe you might wanna check out sennelier at some point because I believe they’re more affordable there and they are soooooo luxurious and creamy! I don’t know if they have ox gall in them but from my experience they don’t spread like crazy but definitely more than Holbeins do. What I like about them is that their colors are more soft and delicate and they’re especially great for layering/glazing because of their transparency you don’t get muddy results like some other brands! So they might work well for you if you want to be more light handed with watercolor :) and you can get them to be extremely dark and vibrant too! I love them (p.s. they do have honey in them)

Yeah I heard and saw sennelier!! I deffo wanna try more brands! Like I said in the video I’ve not got the most experience in different brands, only very basic amount! I must say the Holbein are awesome! I tried making a little colour pairing where I choose colours I like from images and then I tried to blend them, mixing different colours is soooo easy and they come out so crisp 🤩 I will try different brands in the future for sure!!! I love watercolours! I do go heavy handed all the time but yeah i think it’s because I love a fully saturated colour instead of light washes but who knows I neeed to experiment for sure!! 🫶🏻 thank you for your comment I really appreciate your opinions! @@Shr00mvie it’s hard not to fall in love with Holbein 😭 I believe a lot of ghibli artists use them which is so nice! But I’m sure you’ll get used to their intensity and automatically adjust your technique to end up with softer results 💫 would love to see more art videos from you 🎀
