Hi, what PH pen are using that you can put straight into the hot wort?
@paulrhodes77588 күн бұрын
Very nice setup. I am currently building a keezer like you have. Best one I have found on KZbin! What fittings did you use to pass the co2 lines through from secondary regulator?
@jonahbrown1138Ай бұрын
Impressive! You could also consider adding a CO2 detector (portable or fixed) to find CO2 leaks or to monitor the CO2 levels in that room. Good peace of mind if there are any small kids or pets around. A gas cylinder wall bracket could also be a good safety measure so your CO2 tank doesn't have the chance to fall over.

Question - you’re 12’6 ceiling height. Once your vehicle is on the lift and up, what distance do you have to the ceiling?

Looks really good. I would get the 02 assembly from More Beer and add oxygen to the wort as you transfer to the fermenter. The Blichmann sparge arm as you suggested would complete that brewery. Thats a sweet setup.

Why kind of periodic maintenance is required for the lift?
@nextlevelmedia6 ай бұрын
Good question, I know it is supposed to be serviced periodically but I have never done it nor had any problems. I’m sure the hydraulic fluid should be changed at some point. I’ll have to contact my service rep.

Try adding your grains first into the mash tun, then pump your water into the bottom of the mash tun. No dough balls. Great system. I use the same setup with 30-gallon Spike Brewing kettles. I built my entire system, including my control panel with Auber EZ Boil PID's. Spike Brewing was changing their handle design, moving them from the sides to front and back. I bought the 3 30 gallon last of the old inventory kettles for roughly $125 each and drilled them myself. Cheers!

I mean, it's nice but has ZERO drop protection like the Mous cases do for $50 less. The Mous case has strong foam all around the border inside a waterproof case so not only do you have rain protection you have really good drop protection.

Very nice video. Do you feel that there is no need to bolt the posts to the floor? I think I still wouldn't trust it but that's cuz I have that kind of luck at times... ; o
@nextlevelmedia6 ай бұрын
Correct, no need to bolt a 4-post lift and confirmed with BendPak. I was definitely nervous but no longer after using it for some time now.
@PeterSchneemann11 ай бұрын
Can someone help me please? 1) Can you suggest any proven methods of installing such a lift in a garage that has a slope of at least 4-5 inches? 2) Also, would the lift shift if I don’t bolt it to the ground? (I would rather not anchor it as my concrete slab is only 4 inches thick.)
@nextlevelmedia6 ай бұрын
Definitely no need to bolt down. Most garages probably have a few inch decline - the installer would be able to speak to this or you can reach out to your specific lift rep - that would be the best resource. I don’t think it should be a problem.

I am considering buying the new jacketed SS brewtech fermenter. After about 100 batches, the cooling coil has a fine layer of beer stone that is not coming off. The inside of the fermenter is pristine. Gives me an excuse to buy a toy. 😂

Nice setup! Have the same lift. The support strap under the drivers side ramp has 2 large bolts on the bottom. Do the bolts dig into the Swisstrax? Mine chews up the floor every time the lift is lowered.

Yep same for me, luckily it stays in the same location. I tried contacting bendpak to address and come up with solution but got bounced around to the wrong people I guess. If you know a welder they could take care of it easily.
