It seems to me that he’s not even looking at the target when he shoots….Which means that he has a 6th sense feel for the targets which makes him so accurate and fast at the same time.

I watched Bob Munden live. He called me from the crowd to verify he placed two live rounds in his gun. I then heard on shot fired and he had me verify both rounds were fired. He was a great exhibitionist and a great man They don’t make them like that anymore

Well, considering this is the second prototype, and it made 38 successful flights before this ill-fated one. And the first prototype made 74 successful flights before being retired and turned into a museum piece, I’d call this development period relatively trouble-free
