Great video. From 0:53 are two guys discussing in the Kiswahili Language of East and Central Africa, one of them in the vehicle, the other on radio. The guy in the vehicle says that another lioness has recently given birth to two cubs, referring to the lioness and two cubs seen at minute 0:55 onwards. The guy on radio answers by saying that these are certainly good times for the lion pride, in that the pride is eating well, and further growing the pride by "new arrivals" (the newly born cubs). Thank you for the video, but please be quiet when you are taking your video, clearly it's disturbing for the mother and her cubs. They seems confused, especially when you are blocked their way.

For sure. Our guide was driving us down this narrow dirt track when they came out of the grass and surprised all of us. The cubs were just learning how to follow mom and it would have been much better if we were a lot further away!

Beloved, do you know the Lord Jesus Christ? Jesus is the Word of God, who became flesh. He lived a perfect, sinless life, then He died on the cross for our sins. On the third day, Father God resurrected Him; He rose from the dead; and now He is alive, and He sits at the Father God's right hand. He is the one and only true living God; there's no other, apart from Him. He loves us; He created us! He is not the God of religion, He is the God of a personal relationship! He desires a close relationship with us. He said in John 14:6, "Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' No one can come to heaven except through Jesus! Therefore, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior today, if you haven't done it yet! Repent of your sins, and ask Him to forgive you, cleanse you, and make you a new creation in Jesus Christ! Then invite Him into your heart, and into your life. Talk to Him and acknowledge Him on daily basis; run to Him in your distress, and He'll give you rest! Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Beloved people, tomorrow is promised to none of us; and without Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we won't have an eternal life in heaven. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and His sacrifice on the cross today; do not wait another minute! John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipKuc4eMpaeqack

Agree we were too close, but our guide was driving us down a dirt track in high grass when they popped out right in front of us. All he could do was just stop the vehicle and let them move around us. It would have been much better if we had seen them from a respectable distance!

Lionesses give birth around the same time and will form a crèche so they can protect and feed the cubs together.The smallest cubs are too small to be out of the den.

Are you a lioness ? The mothers decide when it's time.
@theartsyzoologist
@theartsyzoologist 3 жыл бұрын
They know what they are doing, notice there slower movements, in order to allow the smaller cubs to keep up and essentially keep the pace. If they were misplaced or confused the cubs would be scattered and the mother’s body language would look much different. By the way they were scoping the area out, they are likely moving them to a safer site. We see only half the picture, the obvious, but the lions are already ten steps ahead of our thinking or assumptions.
