Have you noticed the really nice roof rack on top of your suv? It's great for putting a lot of stuff. If you invested in a type of cargo carrier you'd be able to put the chairs, tent, etc.,( btw, no neice needs to tent sleep in 40-degree weather while you sleep all snug in your suv). Plus, putting all that weight on something you just filled with air is only asking for trouble. Inflatables always spring a leak anyway. The way you're packing you'll find out where the leaks are sooner than later. Most likely, it'll be in the middle of the night. Come morning, you'll have a sore back, and your niece will be just plain sore at her aunt for making her sleep alone all night in a freezing tent.

@joanndavis4843 Thanks for your comments. I did consider a cargo carrier on the roof but I am very short and reaching things is an issue for me. My niece is an adult and chooses to sleep in the tent and prefers to camp in colder temperatures. The air mattress worked well for me with minimal issues in 4 weeks. Have a great day!

This campground reminds me of a KOA in Canada- one in New Brunswick and the other in PEI. I felt I was in a fish bowl and everybody could and was watching me😮. This is like a parking lot on grass. What do you think of it? Did you enjoy it?
@Travel_Dawn_to_Dusk4 ай бұрын
@watchout694 It was just parking in some grass but it had a nice pool area and bathroom/showers. I prefer state/national park campgrounds. I like to be out in nature more. You'll see some if those in the weeks to come. I haven't tried hipcamp yet but I'll look into it for a future trip. Thanks for watching!
@watchout6944 ай бұрын
Since you've shown different types of campgrounds, like the 1st, just a "get in & get out, no amenities or very few and this latest one is like a KOA resort, which do you prefer? Or what is your ideal if not exactly either one? Let us know on your next video. Have you tired Hipcamp? It's a great option. Hope you're not done and you get the chance to try it.

Hey, just caught your channel and am happy to sub/like. Have you considered buying a $20 single burner stove that takes butane? It takes up less room. Also, I get why you do the 2 chair thing. Have you thought about what your story is going to be for those nosey neighbors who come by, "Hey, what are you guys up to? Is it you and your hubby? Want to come have a drink and play cards? "😮😂. I camp at campgrounds and so far they've all been good ones, no creepy vibes. I hope you have the same luck🎉. Another solo female traveler doing seasonal work in Maine for 6 months and loving it!

@@watchout694 Hi! I debated adding the single burner to my "kitchen" but didn't end up doing it before I left. I will probably pick one up for the future. I really like the grill! No story with the chairs. Neighbors usually know but others passing by wouldn't. Enjoy your time in Maine and thanks for watching!

Change the bed and the cooler side. Now you can easily open the cooler while in the bed and drain it . Also no worries on something flying over onto the driver .

That air filter looked new. Didn't need to be changed. Your oil change guy said you need a new one? Totally disgonest. Cabin filter looked ok too. What you need is a better mechanic. He was going to rip you off. Recommended filters when they were actually fine.

Maybe it didn't pick up on camera. It wasn't terrible but dirty. Cabin air filter was bad!

If you're going on a trip it would be a good idea to take your car to a qualified tech to have the car serviced snd inspected. He might find a saftety issue so dont wait for the last minute. We are talking about a real mechanic not a JIFFY LUBE tech.

The cargo area cover actually fits down with the spare tire beneath the cargo area floor in that model of Outback. If you’re not planning to use it regularly, it’s the best place to store it! You may also be able to fit some small, less used items in that space too. Have a good trip!
@Travel_Dawn_to_Dusk5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tip! I'll try that out!
@vi54515 ай бұрын
@@Travel_Dawn_to_Dusk You’re welcome! It goes crosswise, and I think you’ll have to pop up the two side floor panels to fit it in there, but when positioned right, it’s sunk down far enough that it fits flush. Pop both side floor panels back in and drop the middle floor panel back in place. Sounds harder than it actually is to do, there’s probably a video that shows it as well.
