When you took the roll pin out thats the best way to do it as the alloy has expanded and as you showed pops right out. Can you not send it with a punch and hammer straight through

@popiwatv Actually, there's a whole car that we built with one of these motors. This was just to show how we did it. There's magazine features stories about it. It won its class championship. I think I finally got a chassis for this motor but gotta make some money first.

Belated congrats on your channel tuning 18, I've got another month myself. Having trained as a Tool & Die maker, would really like to know who is making an effort to produce aftermarket rotors. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Why not just plug the side exhaust ports and run straight peripheral exhaust?? Don't see any benefit of them being there. Exhaust won't find it's way in with a big ass peripheral port for it to go straight thru

Hey 400 horse is like 200 horse on 14.7 PSI. Does your car Make stock rx8 numbers? What if you rev it all the way up to 9k or 9.5k like a stock rx8? Is the torque too low to be usable? Just curious, I’m new I just am surprised that the engine didn’t make anything crazy. How does the Renesis rear iron compare to s5/s6 rear irons? Could it hold up to just as much punishment?

From what I have seen recently, this motor would make less hp than the original with rx8 housings. GSLE housings on a normally aspirated rx8 engine just don't work. Would love you to present so dyno figures that show otherwise.

@camd7011 go check out the other videos. We have a dyno chart posted. Won a series with the build, moto Iq feature on the car and motor. We also know of a few others running and working fine. 💪 not sure why the internet says otherwise. Show me a dyno of one failing. Lol. Build whatever you want live the dream.

Thanks for the reply mate :) I've been unable to find a video of the hybrid naturally aspirated on a dyno, or any talk of dyno figures. I can see you have lots talking about turbo hybrid and the mazdatrix numbers, but nothing naturally aspirated. What numbers did you make naturally aspirated? Can you share a link to the discussion? Thanks.

The most important thing to go over is cleaning the lapping compound!!!!!!!!!! If you don't get it perfectly clean you will eat your oil control rings up in a matter of minutes. Ask me how I know!

thank chap. i have a 2004 6mt i am road prepping for my niece to use for college next september. crazy kid always loved that car. i may be in contact for parts or services soon. poor thing sat for 3 years because i was messed up from car accident i was passenger in. deal was is 2019, if she do well in school and get access to useful course in college i pay for her insurance. she starting a teacher training course in couple of weeks, just turned 16. she really excited for 6th form college. only way her parents couldnt say no. hahaha.

When you've got it all apart and ready to start, isn't it worth it to drill out the stud holes a little so you can use oversized studs? I was under the impression that added longevity to a new build. Thx

I've seen alot of rx8 coolant seal failure on the center plate at the exhaust port.
