Well, your form is very nice. I can tell you take your training seriously. And that's great to see, since most people posting katas on youtube are a disgrace to their school and their art. Back in the '90's, I took Karate for 4 years and placed 3rd in the nationals for kata. Watching this brings back memories!

Infinitely better than any of the jumping, tricking and twerking ( yes, I saw a creative form with twerking) katas that pass for forms these days. Keep it up.

She’s raising her hand to ask the judges’ permission to break. It’s a show of respect. It also makes sure the judges are ready and don’t miss it since there are several people breaking at the same time during testing.

That form is extremely original looking. It doesn’t look like anything. I’ve seen in Japanese or Korean arts. But this woman’s kicks are completely vicious. I commend her five out of five stars.

i train boxing and kickboxing 2 years after i meen in sparing karate man whu train 10 years and i just so easy destroy him, he was so shocked and he stop training useless karate.... karate its good agaist self defense against not real fighter but when karate meet boxing or kickboxing or mui-tai, karate its complitly usleless....

Thank you for your reply. This is a traditional taekwondo form. It’s not the only means by which we train, it’s the “art”. We also incorporate BJJ, kickboxing and Krav into our self defense training. I’m glad you’re enjoying your kickboxing. Keep up the good work!

It depends on style of karate. Kyokushin fighters won several times against Muai thai and also K1 tournaments.

I agree that martial arts should be practical, at least potentially useful for real world self-defense and/or fighting, but how much time in the average person's life will they spend in all out fights? If all your martial art is good for is fighting it really isn't good for much, is it?

As someone who goes to this martial arts school, martial arts incorporates a huge part of defense teaching. Like in previous comments this is an “art” but many other factors incorporate taekwondo as a whole like foot work, mit training, and application. It is not useless at all!
