I have the previous generation CTS-V (V2) and I don't have any your equipment problems- no CUE inforainment, no carbon fiber inserts to cause problems, the original sun shade on my 2012 is still in perfect shape and my Recaros are ventilated (leather also has the same creases).

Man what an amazing car, that sucks that GM still cutting corners on the interior like that, the leather, interior trim, and plastics are still perfect in my BMW’s 03’ ZHP manual, 07 335i auto, and 08 550i manual, 16-21 yr old cars, I was under the impression GM got there shit together, I’ve been seriously considering the CTS V5/V4 in manual possibly in the next year or so, but this would really make me reconsider those choices.
