My childhood was kinda the opposite - there were practically no standards. So now I struggle to maintain standards because I don’t have that foundation from my youth. It’s only in Christ that I have learned to establish boundaries and set godly standards. Compromise is to me simply taking the easy way, the path of least resistance.

In Timothy it says the church is the bulwark and pillar of the truth. No where in the Bible does it say sola scriptura only.

I have been struggling with my spirit man not sure of what God has in store for me. But as I watched your sermon I realized I’ve been working on it for some time now. Thank you for clarifying this for me.

Truly a blessing. I struggle with quite a bit of the characteristics so the fruit of the Spirit probably more times than I should, and it’s ironic because I was discussing with my wife. I feel like self-control sometimes that I struggle with the most, and when I went to the page today, that’s the first one I found, so thank you for such an in-depth teaching and really good principles on how to practice self-control in your life on a daily basis. I can’t wait to listen to the rest.
