I turn 22 in 10 days. And im giving up on the world. Ive failed to find guidance. From my parents or so called teachers. Jesus is my father, and my teacher. he Is the only one that has ever truly been there. And my belief in him is the only reason im alive. I wouldn't see any reason to carry on without him

Father Seraphim, Ever since I have adopted Orthodox faith and practices, I have struggled a whole lot. It just gets worse and worse. I am always struggling about blasmephous thoughts and lustful thoughts to everything holy. Saints, the Theotokos, Christ, and the Apostles. I can't talk to my spiritual father because he is too busy, give me your blessing. It's hard living in the West, pray for me Father. Your retched sinner, ~Hendrick Smith

Being a young person trying to live a wholesome, loving, Christian life, has been hell for EVERY generation. This world is the Devil’s playground - an open air prison where we are born and preyed upon every minute of every day.

'When we knock we know that Christ will answer. Prayer is hard'. Bless you Father for this wisdom. When I was a young adult, my prayer became an obsessive, repetitive daily ritual that caused me angst. I realized somehow that there was more, that Christ should be there in the centre. Just now I am gradually finding my path to Christ. 🙏🙏🙏

I agree in part. Certainly we repent. I must tell you that mothers block most of the present age confusion. Included are gender identity, philosophy of life with Christ as prophet only, prayer, acceptance of sin. All the confusion is eliminated on a practical basis. We don’t accept the woke agenda or ideas, we fight against the pending slavery of humanity thru technology etc. Repent yes but remember the mothers. Blessings 💖🌷

Thank you so much for this message. I’m 24 and this speaks so much to the betrayal I feel from not only the world which is expected but from an older generation of so called Christian’s that live a counterfeit Christ-less life and pass it as the real thing while boasting in themselves and condemning the young beaten sheep looking for comfort and the bread of life which they themselves don’t live on so of course they can’t lead them to the spiritual nourishment found in the blood of Christ.

With that said, it should be clarified that any resentment towards older generations goes away when they accept their role in the hell of the current world and we, the younger generation, accept that we would have done the exact same thing in their position.

Father, it really pains me to say I've never heard anything like this before. I hear over and over how it's the easiest and best time to be alive in all of human history and that us who are young ought apologize for being so ungrateful and such time wasters. The expectations are immeasurably high, yet never communicated to us. "You have so much information in the palm of your hand, use your phone for something useful", but how will we know where to even begin looking without being pointed in any direction? Older people are dumbfounded when kids don't know anything when they themselves failed to teach something. Things generally don't just fall into place, the world isn't a happy accident as most people seem to believe these days. If you as a parent fail to instill your values, you've given the rights to do so to someone else. People will absorb their views from somewhere, so we cannot be surprised when no one remains like a blank slate. For previous generations it may have worked well enough to just outsource the teaching of values to the broader society, while there was still slightly more social cohesion. These days much more fringe and evil views are not only normal on a massive scale, worse niche versions of those evils are more readily available online. Either this lost generation finally takes a step in the other direction and learns to love our children, or we keep repeating the same neglect until the generations of it collapses under its own weight. However poorly we've been treated and however little we've been left, let us not be bitter, but always ready to accept an apology. If it never comes, don't be sad about it. We'll in a sense have to reinvent the wheel whether or not we get an apology. Running to the Church will be essential for anyone wanting to escape the trap. Christ is the only way

Do you have a video about physical illnesses and a positive message towards it ? I have many illnesses including allergy to the sun light on my face due to getting burned from lazer hair removal (because I was suffering from cysts because of in grown hairs)and now uv rays blister and burn my skin in an instant . I have kids to raise and its very hard to help my mother and to live a normal life, going out side , church, and getting errands done and to help with other stuff. Im stuck shaving and plucking with severe infections and skin tears everyday , hot sensitive skin, and red and now I have alopecia and I had to almost shave my hair off and I feel disgusted due to the hair loss and weight gain and not looking or feeling feminine. I have had high cortisol problems from a baby and meds made me more sick. I had to stop. (Im a single mother too) also I have a really bad injury in my c section stitches that im 💯 percent sure of which doctors cannot detect. I struggle with mental illness, and its a daily struggle between not wanting to live and wanting to be thankful at the same time. I want to get well for my children . Please pray for me. I really need some spiritual advice. Even if I pray or try to be positive and listen to holy chanting and videos or read saint stories I find myself unwell . (Also cannot sleep at night ).

I do agree father with all my heart that repentance is more then important to escape our imperfect human vunerability which is sin in comparison with our Heavenly Father. And yes older generations have sown the seeds that they and their childeren are reaping. But let us not forget that religious leaders have scared the hell out of people so much that in the sixties people escaped through hindoeism,LSD and the beatles etc out of the soficating religion dogma's.. Untill today i hardley ever hear any church denomination explain what Jesus Christ meant when he said IAM the LIGHT of life and the light to the world..untill i heard a orthodox father speak about Christ the uncreated light i was still in ignorance despite the fact that i loved Jesus without being able to explane my love for him as a child then born an raised as a muslim. Lack of knowledge leads often to frustration anger etc..and the new age spirit who told all who where and are desperate enough that we are our own god..Not realizing that no one can be light without the light.. Taking responsability - through the realization that God is allmighty and that we have a choice to choose between christ and satan, and yes the enormous challenge as mortal being where the mortal is abused to devour our spirit by repenting it is so, so so true.. But what iam missing i your message is how this is going to truly empower the ypung and the old.. Because while you are speaking about repentance i hear the message of shame and guilt for the choices the older generations made based on their circumstances..Can you see how that is not going to delivere a yond of us? Making victims out of the young is not a very assuring voice let alone an empowering one... Gods grace i believe is the power to prefend us just from getting trapped between guilt , blame shame and despare making us more and hopeless more powerless Trust me when i say thay i respect you father Seraphim..and i see your love and you move my heart..At the same time i see your pain for a suffering humanity a suffering creation. But i am asking is your pain/ suffering guilt and or christ compassion?. The line in the spiritual realm is very very subtle..But a good and sound measure is this:Guilt is not healing it drowns us making us more desperate more powerless genuine heartfelt remorse and repentance will deliver us and we will rejoice in the bliss of Gods light Jesus Christ while we are in the body of flesh..If not Jesus would not have into the material world ..Iam talking about the bliss of his divine being above and beyond material circumstances... Truly not ever desiring to hurt nor desrepect you or Christ Jesus, i love you and surely love My lord and Saviour beyond words and thoughts can express.. I found so much strenght and home in orthodox church throygh the internet it brought me out of religious wilderness.. But i have a very hard time reading anything else but guilt and blame in your message. It is stronger then your attempt to make me understand the power and importance of true remose and repentance.. Let not your suffering drown you i guilt.. and despare father..you have do much love in you to conquer that robbing force suffering that robs you of your power and strenght is NOT compassion...See what the darkness is doing to you and the may of us..by making us believe that... May nothing but the uncreated light of Jesus Christ be yours for ever and unto the ages of ages...🌷

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. - Revelation 18:4 The only future I see is leaving the cities, leaving the developed areas and building a humble environment to raise a family elsewhere. Maybe I'm wrong but with the sheer levels of greed and usury choking the young, I'm not sure what else can be done. Lord Jesus Christ Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner.

If I cannot see Christ in my own former/continuing to be in the public according to some my husband almost always not present before me then for sure there is something seriously wrong with me. Christ in the sense of unity in purpose while following Jesus. We remain friends in a very limited sense. Very strange is putting that situation of ours mildly too.

Thank you very much, father. I became orthodox chrisian at 25, it was a special grace of God, because since then i have been struggling to become a christian despite the church and not through the church. The terrible desire of controling people in the church, killing their individual gifts, given them by Christ, is a real hell. My two sons , who are now 19 and 25 do not want to be in the church, there is nothing there to inspire them, nothing to show them the Light. I am trying to become this source of light. May the Lord help me. Please pray for my sons, Adam and Seraphim. Both of them were born by a miracle.

I tell my daughter who is 21 that from 18 to 32 are the hardest years of your life. I'm Gen X for reference - we had no guidance and that decade - for many of us was lost in drugs and despair....I love my Gen Z child and recognize that the Boomers sucked the marrow our of the bones of prosperity in the west....with no responsibility towards the younger generations. (We Gen Xers are typically ignored which suits us just fine) The Boomers with their feminism and sexual revolution Beatles vibe are rarely aware of the trauma left in their trail. Lord have mercy on me as I move towards a forgiving heart towards the Boomers. Pray for me, a sinner. ☦️

You seem to have a lot of hatred toward an entire generation, which by the way, helped build alot of the infrastructure we all now enjoy. It is silly to imagine that they could have seen into the future for our benefit. Which generation of people has lived entirely for a future generation's benefit? None.

@@apatheticallyconcerned6574I agree with having sympathy with that young generation making the most of having everything handed to them. The problem is NOW in this day they still refuse to acknowledge their privileged era and laud their accomplishments over the youth with a mindset of “well I worked hard and did it so you can too”, completely denying the different economic, cultural, political climate of their days that enabled their success and holding kids born into an unprecedented technology addicted environment to the same expectations in life.

I’ve told people older than me this very thing for most of my life. I felt like I was just hateful or disrespectful for calling out the lack of responsibility of the boomers, who ruined the world then blamed their kids for failing to succeed in trash/clown world. Thank you so much for saying this. Through the prayers of all the saints, Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy of the boomers and let the repent, and have mercy on their children and let them survive the world the boomers created ☦️ Edit: I wrote the comment within the first few sentences of the video. When you called the boomers to repentance, I started crying. I don’t want to be overly harsh, but my wife and I work 120 hours a week combined at harder jobs that take much more skill and study and training than anything either of our parents did, and only the man of the house worked for them- 40 hours a week at most, and we still can’t afford a house or children. We’re slaves to pay for their Hawaii vacations and booze cruises- yet they blame us. They kicked us out at 18, but they want to be taken care of when they’ve blown our inheritance and sold back their house to the bank through a reverse mortgage. I only know a few people that have relationships with their sibling that have meaning because most of their “siblings” were newly added to the family through divorce and remarriage a year or two before they moved out of the house. Some of my childhood friends get new brothers and sisters every few years, and the other family relations get cheapened as a result. It’s so hard to forgive them and not be angry. God have mercy on us all.

As a 50 year old man who never really figured things out himself very well, this talk really helped for me to grant grace to those young people. I never baptized my kids. I feel I robbed them of the tradition of growing up under the church, any church, I never instilled any connection to God, any tradition of Christ, and for that I feel so much shame. There are scores of young adults who were never exposed to the idea of God and they are supposed to have any moral compass? All I gave them was scientism, liberalism, and ego-maniacal reliance on self. Thank you so much for this talk.
