A 20-year fan of Sakamoto-san, I discovered "Happyend" on Apple Music shortly after he passed. How ironic. And then -- a few months later -- it "disappeared" due to copyright/royalty issues. As it remains today: unplayable. So pleased to find the original version here. ありがとうございます

This is Hirasawa’s solo work. He has been releasing music on his own as KAKU P-model since 2004. Kaku means core, as he always was the core of the band - in the 80’s and the 90’s.

I seriously can not beleive I am about to say it after loving this mans work for 15+ years but this is genuinely his best album. Which is a ridiculous achievement for something so late in his career. It encapsulates everything I expect and respect from his music. And while I love his more esoteric ideologies I admit this more down to earth theme about self change really resonated with me.

They've stayed relevant artistically. Loved this band since high school after my Japanese exchange student friends introduced me to them in 1982 with Landsale and In A Model Room

@@bobsoldrecords1503 Jus wanted to make sure you knew, this isn't PModel. This is Susumu Hirisawa, a former memeber. Just his solo work lol.

I like Aurora the most, but I agree taht it is something rare that an artist keeps releasing great music, regardless of his or her age. Every artist I listened to, peaked at their youth and then either got repetitive or just wrote worse quality music with time. I think that KAI is just as good as his previous Kaku P-model album, or his latest-BEACON, though.
