Zoomers run these basketball channels and talk about old players like they watch them play or something same thing with the zoomers in the comments true he was no role player until he jumped on the Laker ban wagon and then he was completely a role player then on

Hey thank you Coach U! These videos are huge in teaching the skills and undertone techniques to becoming great basketball players! Highly appreciate you! Hope to see even more soon! I’m on a niche to learn the skills of basketball in levels: basic/fundamental skills, novice skills, intermediate skills, advanced skills, and lastly elite skills! It’s crazy how even a small statement can completely change up my game.! One of the most impactful things you said to me so far is the that the fundamentals of dribbling, in your “History of Basketball” video, is ‘lateral’ movement- and not just change of direction or change of momentum!!! Focusing and changing my dribbling on that skill alone has made me a much better driver and scorer! I realize now how important it is to have your fundamental skills not only in place but mastered and perfected before moving onto more high level skills!

One of the more underappreciated players from that era. Now he's known primarily as just a 3-point shooter, but was dangerous driving to the hoop and due to his length, was unstoppable in the post against other SF's. He had some nagging injuries in the late 90's and was never the same from the time he showed up in LA and on. Plus the Lakers reportedly only wanted him to be a spot up shooter and nothing else, so he did enjoy his time there, despite winning a championship.

Role players aren't all-stars and All-NBA defensive teams. Thunder Dan was a STAR for several years.

If we are being honest- Bobby Knight is the best coach out of all of them for many reasons, but just look at this stat: in his 29 seasons at Indiana, he had 1 player that went on to become an NBA all-star: Isaiah Thomas. Knight dominated the B1G with 11 titles, a perfect season, 3 national titles, graduated his players, never bought any players (like everyone else at the other blue bloods)...and he did it all without the NBA rosters that would play year after year at UK, UNC, UCLA, Kansas, etc....he objectively did more with less talent. That's the best measure for a coach's greatness. He also went to Texas Tech which was an absolute ghost town for basketball and took them to the NCAA tourney 4 out of the 7 years he was there, even taking them to a Sweet 16. Just Wiki his coaching record....when he was on the DECLINE at IU and past his prime, the Hoosiers were still finishing in the top 5 in the league and he never lost to the Fab 5 btw. Knight is the best to ever do it. He perfected the motion offense and influenced everyone that came after him. Bobby Knight is the goat.
