My attendance is all over the place this week too. I had to close Monday, because we lost power due to the ice storm here in western VA. Some have stayed home, while others have asked if I could watch the older siblings out of public school. I hate someone there has RSV. That's always on our list of fears as childcare providers. We don't get the "day off", when some don't come. We still have to be available for those who do. Your activities are so cute in your binder! I haven't done too many messy type art activities, while I have a young baby in attendance. So I can't wait for him to get a little older to start offering painting and more messy sensory play, again. Have a great week, friend!

I'm the sole provider here, too, although I live here with my two youngest, who have their own jobs and own bills. I know how nerve racking lower attendance /enrollment can be. You've got this!

Sending hugs and prayers your way. Here I am struggling to find another trustworthy “In home family childcare home” to send some children to due to them being on the waitlist too long. I too can only have 6 children per shift (of course that depends on age), it’s seems that everyone only needs first shift even though I offer both 1 & 2nd shift. Keep the faith, sis.

I have been working as a Para Profesional for 18 1/2 years and not including my Student teaching in College; however I just had Benign acoustic brain tumor & recuperating. I have the choice to return to Elem. School but am ready for small like yours day care or getting ready for Pre K & can expose them to Pre k or Kinder.. I would use this video to help set up after I get my car garage ready & set it up just like yours. A fence divides a Christian School from Pre k to H.S where I can also tutor for Primary ages. You are inspiring but am having to learn pre registration & money too. After working so long with Pre k, I do know how parents can get, even though by the end of the year Parents gives me so much respect. Your having lots of encouraging me to do this..lol. I ll def. Continue to watch & learn & in Jesus name I want to do this. 😊❤❤❤❤❤

I have worked in Elem. Pre k 18 1/2 yrs and had benign brain tumor in April of 2024, been recuperating and missing teaching as a Bilingual Para Prof. I want to do as you and turn my garage into a small day care.. I would like to provide summer prep for children beginning Pre k, help to getting them ready. I am seeking God's Will. I am also thinking tutoring.. an by hour. I love what you have. Love teaching early childhood & like you only want 4 or 5 children is all. A fence divides my home with my back yard & private Christian school, It has pre k to H.S. also I have another Christian day care across the street from my development. We know how a class fills up & leaving a waiting list, that's where I come in..lol...due to my recuperation I pray to Jesus for a small day care like yours, I see God's been Blessing you because I do have lots of patience & love, your encouraging me!! I been working with the exact centers & manipulatives.
