The objective is to stop immediately using the available runway, then the engine problems or what cannot be diagnosed. If you want to argue against that ask a real airline pilot

This is just an aborted take-off, no engine failure, a sudden engine failure on TO would slam the pilots to one side and produce such immense yaw that they would struggle to keep the plane centered

No it wouldn't. The 777 will automatically apply rudder to compensate for the differential thrust. Even if it didn't, the yaw is not that extreme and can be controlled using rudder.

This is no way correct... this crew knew they had to do this procdure and acted way to fast to simulate a real situation. They did not take in account the human factor, the time for the human brain to addapt to the situation.

I’m a 777 captain. I’ll try my best to clarify. The guy in the left seat shutoff the fuel control switch to “fail” an engine at V1. That’s a speed that if you lose an engine you’re still rotating and “going flying” as we say. I think the pilot flying (right seat) was anticipating the right engine so stepped on the wrong rudder to make a correction for the asymmetrical thrust. It caused the uncoordinated rotations where the nose went all over. You’re supposed to keep directional control better than that when an engine fails. Little things can be pretty funny when in a stressful training environment. Ha.

I got one of these calls tonight and wasted their time for about 15 minutes and told them they are scammers. Don't think they will call again soon. Scary thing is they knew my first name🤔

Trina Priddy - I received another call and took it to the third call. Essentially, these guys are only a lead generating backend, who the sell those leads to local Aussie brokers. I got a call from a local broker Aaron who has his office on La Trobe St. I asked him directly, that who were those overseas guys calling me earlier pretending to be from Australia. He confessed that he bought my lead from those guys .

Got exactly this call today. I was able to take it to the second call before calling out their bluff. The lady just hung up after that. When I tried calling back on that number - the number isn't even connected. Wonder whats the agenda behind these calls?

The brokers don't know how the leads are purchased. It's a "lead generating" service. Details here: shor.tt/Jh1. Tracked down two of them and traced the leads back to an Aussie source (although guys have been using them for ages).
