Judy was so busy worried about being BEAUTIFUL but who could do what she could do? For one she wasn’t ugly she was cute/pretty nothing wrong with that. I’m short too so I get it we all wanna be a supermodel but her talent transcended looks. Judy could sing and dance exceptionally even Whitney Houston couldn’t both, Mariah can’t dance either. She needed a good makeover and a real man to make her feel like a woman.

Out of all the stars they messed up, she's the one I feel the worst for. My grandpa cleaned for her and she was a wonderful person he said. He said she seemed very sad even though he had only met her once or twice. He had a cleaning company and he cleaned for a lot of famous people. I wish he would have wrote a book about it and his life. But anyways, rest in peace beautiful lady.

Some people say that gay men who marry women tend to like them very thin: less curves. Maybe her mom didn't understand that and it just all came out sideways. Her dad was gay.

The Judy biopic from 2019 with Renee Zellweger has its good moments, but it could never and will never compare to this movie! The casting of Judy and Tammy, the set dressing/time period accuracy, the purpose and goal of this film are all so perfect and genuine in a way you can never beat, even with a high budget biopic. This is the best representation of Judy’s story and character put to film

The scene where Buzz be Berkeley is shouting at her, is disturbing because he was an alcoholic, and he was in an accident where he killed the family by running into his side of them drunk. He’s exactly as a portraying, the film probably worse.

Judy Davis is absolutely brilliant as Judy Garland! Even better then Rene Zellweger. Amazing talent!

Absolutely! Rene Zellweger paled in comparison to Judy Davis' remarkable performance! I haven't the foggiest why the studio even thought to make another biopic? Judy Davis' mesmerizing physicalities will forever be unmatched! ❤

Such a Sad thing, but in that era, Barbituates & amthemtines were considered safe, sold by the millions could get them over the counter. Soldiers, housewives & everyone in between took them, considered safe & not much mention of addiction & health problems. I think a lot of it came from overwork & trying to keep her thin absolutely awful.

@@hazlemarinaright into the 1970s and '80s, Diet pills with amphetamines were still popular.
@karengarrison36662 ай бұрын
Judy was given amphetamines to lose weight and to increase her energy levels for the nonstop performances. And barbiturates brought Judy down at the end of her exhausting days ~ "up" in the morning, "down" at night ~ a recipe for disaster 💔
