This was really helpful! I started working at a nursing home a while ago and one of our residents isn't able to care for her own hair anymore. Our area doesn't have a lot of poc and even though I have no idea what I'm doing, I want to make her feel more at home and better cared for :)

maybe it is different for my hair but once when my hair was falling out someone told me to use aloe vera and to leave it on as long as I wanted as it would cause no harm. That was not true and was the worse thing I ever did to my hair. I let the aloe vera soak my hair for 2 hours then took a shower and washed it out. My hair was so dry and brittle it started breaking and falling out even more as soon as I started brushing... do you know why?

My daughter is on the spectrum and is very tender headed I hope this helps….thank you for sharing

When you heat it up you are killing all of the nutrients.

She didnt comb it because it's impossible to comb hair like that.

Thank you, I will use apple cider vinegar, then Aloe vera on my hair to loosen the matting.

I like this mixture , but could I switch up the hair grease base to the Blue Magic Castor Oil that has both Aloe Vera and Shea Butter then mix it with the Mango Lime JBCO , or whichever JBCO brand like Sunny Isle as well ?

Her hair is not extremely matted. It just needs detangling & conditioner. Mm y hair is matted waxy knots. ACV and aloe vera did not work.😭
