If shifting is bad, it's the speed sensor on the transmission.

I know a guy who connected a single L shaped side pipe to after the thirst resonator. Comes out nisely in front of the rear passenger wheel and sounds fine.

Michael Y Kwon it's straight piped dingleberry, there's no cats or resonators or mufflers. It's just pipe from the headers back

I just bought a 1998. You can't hear it so much in the cabin unless you floor it because this is a top end luxury car but wow this engine is fierce. The roar is ferocious.

Sounds good. Found this from your build on club Lexus. Did you just remove them from the flange or new piping? I couldn't really see.

+Lawson Kobayashi I removed them right after the resonator with the 10MM exhaust clamp. Debating on deleting the resonator as well. Within a few weeks I'll have a full 2.5" straight pipe dual set-up, I'm just debating on if I should keep the resonator or not.

Lawson Kobayashi Just for the record, the "resonator" you mentioned on 97-00 LS400's (yes, i meant 97) is actually a catalytic converter, whereas in prior years it was a resonator. I don't believe 96's had a third cat, but i could be wrong.
